TopstepTrader and Patak Trading Partners- Any and all questions answered here

NinjaTrader... That is important for me and many others. The layout and logic of your T4 app is fine, but trying to work both that and trade thru NT app side by side is above my ability. The T4 logic of "T" and "S" buttons to enable trade or stop orders instead of one-click in the bid or ask...

It's very important to keep in mind that this process has nothing to do with individual trader's competition or comparison. The whole focus is on each person meeting the combine goals and nothing else. I do understand it's status quo for men to want some type of comparison whether it's...

it matters because they want a smooth equity curve. managed money does not like fade-add-add-add=massive-loss-puke traders who consistently fight market direction trying to pick highs and lows. Their equity cure history resembles a world-class coaster ride... not conducive to managed funds.

what they offer in return is an opportunity to meet their position interview requirements. that's all. if you don't want to interview for the position and all of it's prestated conditions, keep your paltry fee. if you want to enter and participate within the prestated guidelines, pay up...

how does it become a lottery when someone pays in? there's no connection to fee-based participation and "lottery"... the parameters of participation and qualification are clearly spelled out. fwiw: the carbon arrows and broadheads on my bow to hunt deer cost more than $175 alone. sheesh...

The parameters are spelled out before anyone pays... so they either free-will choose to pay and play acordingly, or walk away Apparently icarus either has me on ignore or simply prefers to think himself right rather than acknowledge the facts. Bottom line, this is a free-will venture. Read...

Michael, I apologize for that poor choice of wording yesterday. I was posting in haste... had finished trading for the day and was hurrying thru non-market tasks. For sure I did not mean to disparage any part of this program... not by any means :) Day 1 of 10 is complete for me. CL is...

Big picture: this is a test to see who... Can be net profitable at least five days out of ten. Can trade at least ten days out of thirty to prove consistency. Can limit losses greatly. Does not book nine small wins and one whopper loss. Does not plunge all-in for a big score and...

Overall Winning Day % of 50 or greater all I see is that... which means five out of ten days minimum must finish green. I see nothing at first couple passes that talks about specifics of intraday peak-draw cycle parameters

Some of us trading CL did a bit better than that. So I respectully suggest you might want to sit back, relax and let the process here unfold

that's a minimal difference and over time would even out anyways toughest part of getting "funded" is meeting equity curve criteria. wins need to be bigger than losses, more frequent than losses and rather tight max loss for the day per contract limit unless working split orders to defend...

Thinking of getting back into the game

As usual for you, the guy you are mocking here has made more money from trading in a good day than you ever have or will in your life. If you spent as much time scrolling your charts as you do trolling about how impossible this profession is, you might actually make something of yourself...

    ES Journal - 2012

So your student trader went from 20 cars ES to 400 cars ES in the lowest volume, lowest volatility period for the past five calendar years? The thinnest stock market conditions since 2007? And he/she is expected to sit back, relax and perform unemotionally while a third-party nurse stands by...

    ES Journal - 2012

#1: if you are averaging against with 5,000+ contracts by the thirteenth level and a May 6th 2010 flash-crash "surprises" you the wrong direction, it would get real interesting when the smoke cleared. #2: any trader leaping trade size from 20 contracts to 400 contracts with no steps in...

    ES Journal - 2012

Stock index markets remain very quiet. The major difference between markets a decade ago versus past few years: most sessions, and we do mean MOST sessions long-term offer far less opportunity for sheer number of trades. Far fewer oscillations, fewer swings, less directional movement. Much more...
