I'm in a similar situation now - down 95% in 3 weeks and now my net down is around 40% from my original basis. It's an expensive education - but in the end worth the cost....

no, i don't know. i don't trade the s&p. my sectors are doing well.(industrial metals and commodities.) there is always a bear market and there is always a bull market. bad day if you trade the "broad" market, but i'm doing fine.(check ATI, TIE, aauk, zolt.)

i don't trade es - i do US equities and options. from my view, and what i trade, this is profit taking after a run-up and some sideways action.

4 weeks ago the unbelievable resistence was at 1315. this is profit taking. relax and treat it as an entry point.

don't forget - the market can't go below 0, while there is no upper bound. the machine is designed to make money. pirces rise, politicians will fillander, yadda yadda,

it's profit taking - a pit-stop on the way to 1400. buy buy buy!

there are other things you apparently don't know about, like possible legilation that would require a significant percentage(100) of materials used in defense projects to be purchased domestically. Your tune changing? I have a 110$ target on it - split adjusted would be 55$.

i think dell poisoned the whole sector - today, if the FOMC is positive, i believe aapl will make up yesterday's sell-off and then price in the FOMC...
