Believe you left out Dole in 1996. Again, in 50% of the past contested caucuses, the winner went on to get the GOP nomination. And, 1980 was essentially a tie between Bush and Reagan. In 1976, Ford won Iowa and the nomination. For the Dems. the record is 5 of the past 7 contested...
