With all due respect, please refrain from responding with 1/2+ page comments regarding other prop firms and your experience or lack thereof with them. I am more than happy to share my experiences related to TopStep but do not appreciate comments about other firms since I have shown more enough...

Took a day off from trading today --- have not had a day off in such a long time --- and it felt great to only look at charts for a cumulative 30 mins today during my long run

Lesson for today: if it is moving day and you're up a few hundred and you still have a lot of packing and loading to do ---- do not trade or you will lose a few thousand --- better yet, if you are going to trade, do not trade a contract that you have not traded for a few months

Thanks GuyCL for the supportive comment. I've had an "interesting" experience transitioning from a swing trader to a day trader....as well as full-time employee with safety to a full-time day trader who might be homeless - depending on how well I trade. I am getting closer to "figuring out"...

Me thinks that is why a trader should "only" trade with the 3 proven industry leaders: 1) TopStep; 2) Earn2Trade and 3) OneUp -- that is of course should the "prop firm" trading be one of their chosen paths EDIT: This applies only to "pay to prove yourself" firms

Thank you everyone for both your supportive comments and cautionary recommendations. I will continue to journal my journey with the TST "funded trader" process and in the process, I hope that traders might get some extra inspiration and possibly some useful information for their own trading...

Thanks for your response but I think you have some incorrect information on the TST process. You should really do better DD on a firm before throwing shade. Step 1: achieve $9K in profit Step 2: achieve $9K in profit -- then you will get a "funded account" Step 3: first $5K in profit goes 100%...

Most retail traders are already trading with/against Algos/AI/HFT robots. In my opinion, if you are a good trader then it will not have a "substantial" difference in your trading. The only thing that might change is your "trade duration" since the robots can pick up on breaking news/market...

Traderjo, Thanks for the kind words. So far, I have paid for the initial evaluation, 1 reset and most likely have to pay for another month in order to complete Step 2. If a trader is good and has substantial trading experience, the evaluation fees are a moot point since he will recoup that...
