Rejection @ p/m H is another indication it could reach 07.50, and possible symmetrical overshoot of p/m L.

Could see a repeat of the recent pattern ... open +10/-10, which would bring us to 07.50 some time this afternoon. Add: to that end, 1220 was 50% RTH.

I'm thinking it may need to test (and breach) Thursday's RTH low before they can reverse it meanigfully to the upside for tomorrow. A good 15-20 point gap overnight, maybe 25, for a 2nd day gap play seems about right given the current environment. For better or worse V that'd move your 50%...

50+ handle ranges lately suggest 97.50 is the easier target. Of course unexpectedly bad numbers this morning could change that. :)

I'm not sure where you get any real time futures charting other than your broker via subscription. I use IB for a VIX futures chart, Ameritrade for the index chart (VIX).

Update: For the record, the problem was determined not to have been IB at all. It was my DSL/ external phone line, and it took ATT 3 days to come around and fix it.

All I know is when I log into (browser-based) TWS it shows the progress bar creeping at about 1%/second normally... today it's even worse.

Thanks guys. To rwk, yeah that's the other thing. TWS took forever to load today - much worse than even the usual snail's pace. It also seems to be running sluggishly once I do get connected.

... anyone? At first I thought it was my modem, but reset everything and still getting IB pink outs while access to other websites is fine. Just wondered if it was only me.

I have a feeling we'll see 44 or 37 before this downdraft ends, or at least 60-61. These magnets on the daily just seem too compelling, IMHO.

I wouldn't worry too much about the IB c.s. rep copying your trades in his piker account over his iphone. The only issue at all here is somebody with the ability to frontrun knowing your strategies before you even enter your orders and doing so with size ... or size gunning for your stops, which...

So the guy fielding trade assistance questions is sitting at a trading desk trading his own account at the same time? Are these guys otherwise free to go fishing around the entire firm's accounts to see who's making money and who's not, and spend time delving into an individual's trade history...
