i understand that leverage has nothing to do with riskiness, i wasn't against leverage but doesn't the whole SSF thing just makes the PDT rule redundant ? If SEC thinks that PDT is going to reduce speculative risk in trading, isn't the 20% margin requirement just make it worse. People could just...

why did SEC come up with PDT rule when they are going to approve SSF anyway ? SSF isn't going to make trading less risky, in fact, it has gotten even more risky with the 20% margin.

put the $ 25K in your bank and get a day job that pays $ 4,950 should get you pretty close :)

Another problem of Options is big spreads, especially the deep in the money ones. SSF should have spread closer to those of stocks.

For me, the more important thing is perseverance. Anything we do everyday has a fair probability of going wrong once in a while no matter how much care we put in. Failure, big and small, is part of the package. The thing is, no matter what happens, we have to tell ourself to carry on.
