Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

GUSH and BYND are killing me but I can't dump them until tomorrow due to PDT. But APT, FB, TQQQ keeping my head out of the water. APT did a good flagpole. If it consolidates it will probably flagpole again and give someone a nice little 3 bar scalp.

Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

It was a little bouncy this morning. I got shook out of all my trades. Nice profit, though. Got back in but its looking like a mediocre day for me.

    Day trading profit target

Why limit your profit at all? Loss limit is important, though. And what is acceptable for you or me or your doctor or the preacher or the milkman might all be completely different. I lost about $20k last year out of a $50k account playing a stupid play, and stopped trading. A month or two ago I...

    I'm back in, tomorrow

NBL paid off with 6.07% profit, and lead the way to the close of another great trading day, it is 1826 NY time and my PL for the day is +2.9%. I am holding USO, HD, TSLA, TQQQ, and NBL overnight. I would dump USO and especially HD for now, but I am out of day trades and either one would be a day...

    Day trading profit target

Oh I misunderstood the question. I pretty much agree with Ken. The daily loss limit and total risk limit are important as well as the per trade risk limit. The maximum profit I will accept in a day? Oh no, it simply would not be gentlemanly to accept more than an even 1.00% profit in a day, now...

    Day trading profit target

For a limit sell order, a point just below the next line of resistance is a good target. Or just below an even dollar or even dime amount. Up 3x the initial stop distance is good. Me, if I am day trading I let it run until it looks spent. Sometimes I don't use a limit sell order. Sometimes a...

How many more white supremacists does ET need?

I think they are asking for just one, and still waiting. I am going to lead the way here, and in an hour I will unsub from this thread and put you on ignore if you have not referenced something offensive enough to merit public censure and defamation. You have been called out on your condemnation...

Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

Hmmm... all bullish trades yesterday, and my account gained 3.5%. All bullish trades today, and now at noon I am up 2.5% more, with half the day left to go. The only bears around here are fuzzy little teddy bears, I think. The big loser, FB. I even dumped it at a nice profit before it went nose...

    I'm back in, tomorrow

Noon market time, I am up 2.31% for the day so far. No day trades available. FB took a dive and I dumped it at a profit. BYND scared me with a big dip and I dumped it at a profit. AMZN too. I could have kept all three but this worked out alright. I am riding the bull with TSLA, TQQQ, NBL, and...

How many more white supremacists does ET need?

You do realize, of course, that you have now quite thoroughly publicized the content that you so vehemently object to, don't you? If I were at all interested, I would now have something kewl to do a search for. Don't bring fame and recognition to someone or something or a way of life or thought...

    I'm back in, tomorrow

At the closing bell I was up 3.64%, a good day for me. Plays on USO, XOP, BBBY, FB, BYND, and AMZN. Some of those were held from Friday. I am holding the last three overnight tonight and so far in the early aftermarket they are doing okay. I am out of day trades so I may just hold the FB and...

Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

I am up 3.5% for the day so far. Look out, here comes the bull stampede. Everything I touch pays off today. Bears, bears, go away. You can play another day. QQQ up 1% from the open. TQQQ 3%. It's like Pamplona. I shoulda held my oil stocks too. Sorry, Ken. Maybe tomorrow will be your day.

Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

Byebye, bears. Drop that pickanick basket and run! Up 2.4% for the day so far. Stopped out at a profit on USO, XOP, BBBY, dumped TMF for a buck profit, holding FB and AMZN and I shoulda bought TQQQ but I honestly wasn't expecting this little rally to be so strong and now I am out of daytrades...

Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

I'm up slightly on all my bull bets but QQQ is down a bit. I'm long on XOP, USO, TMF, and BBBY. None of them are disappointing me.

Bears back finally? S&P drops to near 3000

After looking at some forecasts I think you might be right for tomorrow morning. I don't watch the news anymore. It just pisses me off. There are plenty of sheeple to do that for me. But I am expecting oil to open about a buck down from Friday and dip some more through the day. I am still...

    I'm back in, tomorrow

Meh. Stopped out with a $30 profit. Bullish on oil for Monday, with XOP and USO. Small position in TMF.

    I'm back in, tomorrow

Turning bearish today. Not like a grizzly or a kodiak, more like koala-ish. USO is my only long position and I bought 200 shares SQQQ against every fiber in my being. But that is how the market is going these last three days so there it is.

    Trading The Opening Gap

I think of a gap up as the bull flag that it resembles, and sometimes I play it that way if I see a classic consolidation in the works. It seems to work at least as well, if not better, than expecting a gapped stock to go back and "fill the gap" with price action. Also depends a lot on the trend...
