Why Not Buy/ Hold Long / Roll to next series

Simple daily MA strategies like the 15-day referenced will work during some time periods and you can get chopped to shreds in others. Just be careful with that type of strategy. You may need a way to filter when to take signals and when to stay on the sidelines beyond just the 15 MA.

AAPL or AMZN to win the race to 1T?

AMZN has so much more potential than AAPL.

The bear case for stocks is ‘so obvious, it can’t be right’

The Nasdaq has only just recently surpassed it's 2000 peak adjusted for inflation. I can't predict the market (neither can the permabears), but we could just be getting out of the 2nd inning for this bull market. Time will tell, but we've basically been range bound since 2000. It took until...

Study: the Euro crashed yesterday. Bearish for Euro and bullish for USD

The EU is falling apart. Troy will likely be proven correct here.

Trump Plays Dangerous Game Of Chicken With Trade Tariffs

Exactly. Robotics, AI, 3D printing, etc are game changers. Globalism and trade will go through a paradigm shift.

Trump Plays Dangerous Game Of Chicken With Trade Tariffs

People need to understand that "playing chicken" is major component of negotiations. Trump is a negotiator, so he's going to get as good of a deal as he can for the US (which is part of why he was elected). Negotiations can seem scary at first if you're a p*ssy.

Study: the Euro has fallen 6 weeks in a row. Here's what happens next

I am not a currency guy, but the EU looks like a mess to me as well. Essentially this union is holding an economic civil war between quasi-sovereign nations. The EU could rip apart at the seems at any time. I tend to think the likelihood of he EU falling apart in the next 20 years is greater...

is it possible to get stock quotes on smart watches?

My advice is trade in a longer term timeframe so you can trade much less frequently and not need to watch the market during work hours. Or you could switch to future or forex and trade at night.

What is the benefit of stock market for the company?

Surely you can think of many more reasons for why an owner would raise money (public or private offering), rather than "they cannot borrow". Off the top of my head: -Raise money to fund new investments, R&D, acquisition -Valuations are high (buy low / sell high) -Take chips off the table...

    Anti-trading. Dollar Cost Averaging

I've seen a lot of academic and anecdotal evidence that leveraged equity ETF's have not been "eaten up by chopiness and time", at least in the modern era where borrowing costs have been low. I'm talking 2x or 3x S&P or Nasdaq ETF's (my preference is S&P) with a historical upward bias, not...

    Anti-trading. Dollar Cost Averaging

Not if you're DCA'ing regularly. You would likely do extremely well if you DCA'ed a 2x or 3x ETF equity ETF for the next 25 years.

Real interest rates aren't talked about nearly enough, but then again most of the talking heads on CNBC are clowns.

Day Pyramiding with NQ, ES, or YM

Really? I thought the exact opposite, lol. It seems pretty straight forward to me. There aren't many strategies that can be summed up in 1 post. Granted, this is more of a money management strategy vs technical analysis strategy, but there's almost nothing complex about what he said.

Golden/Death Cross Trading Model with Initial Claims filter that yields an average of 16% per year

In a nut shell, long term moving average cross systems can be effective at eliminating huge draw downs, but they usually do not beat the market on a return basis. There are lots of studies dating back to 1950 and even earlier, but my advice is to only use the longer term MA strategies such as...

    YM sep 18 low volume

Right now June is the front month contract so volume in Sept will be pretty low for the next 3-4 weeks until people start migrating away from June. If you're planning on holding long term, it shouldn't matter much.

All the big tech companies work with the letter agencies. Most of them were founded or aided by CIA/NSA/Military Intel seed money. And if you don't play ball with big brother, your company is quickly destroyed ala Blackberry
