Spoos don't like it Manafort Guilty!

He wouldn't have entered a plea if he wasn't sure if there would be more charges. He didn't give up leverage for nothing. There has to be a deal.

The legendary investor who predicted the past 2 bubbles breaks down how the 9-year bull market will

LOL Jeremy Grantham is a perma-bear. Or course he predicted the last two bear markets. That's easy to do when you ALWAYS predict a bear market. If you listen to Grantham, you NEED there to be a bear market because you've missed all the gains.

how to hedge a 3x etf

Yes, the 3x is necessary because for every dollar in TQQQ you control $3 worth of Nasdaq price-movement. NQ futures are $20/pt x 7,448 = $148,960 per contract.

    Explain something about job numbers

Regardless of the Obama vs Trump debate I can assure you as an employer that finding employees (both full time and part time) is the biggest challenge in business right now.

    Explain something about job numbers

There are a lot of moving parts obviously in how many jobs are created, filled, etc. It's impossible to get a real time number that's accurate. It's like polling. The BLS surveys a sampling of businesses in each state, by industry. They rely on the businesses themselves to report number of...

How to invest $900K in 2018

You're arguing for the sake of arguing. Will the portfolio I outlined out perform 100% QQQ? Probably not. But will the OP freak out and sell at the exact wrong time when there is an inevitable 30-40% decline in QQQ? I can't answer that, only he can. Short term treasuries carry almost zero...

How to invest $900K in 2018

LTT, STT and Gold are nothing more than dry powder for you to rebalance into stocks and reduce drawdown. Different asset classes zig and zag stocks. Gold will get beat down about 2/3rds of the time, but takes off occasionally (See 2001-2011). For the OP it seems keeping his capital and...

One millennial options trader was killing it, then Facebook cost him $180,000

Often times, it's better to be lucky than good. This guy has probably made more from trading than 95% of the people on this board, even after his big loss.

Outflows From U.S. Stocks Swell as Investors Seek Refuge in Bonds

By "barber" do you mean the chain smoking, overweight single mom that cuts your hair at the nearest Sports Clips franchise? She is on public assistance and doesn't invest in stocks. I don't think the service sector can be reliable in marking tops with stock advice any longer :(

Here we go again with the Financial Transaction Tax

The Democrats are making a pretty sharp turn left, and outright campaigning on socialism (they call it "Democratic Socialism" as if that's something better than socialism). You're going to hear more and more about the FTT in this country going forward.

    i don't get the ZN

I don't have a big understanding of market depth of what your overall point is, but ZN is extremely liquid so opening and closing positions is never a concern, even in the least liquid trading hours.

what is the cheapest future per point?

YM is $5/pt, but at a nominal price of 25,000 it can zoom 30+ points in the snap of a finger. I feel like $/tick is very relative.
