How do I trade Bitcoin ?

You are correct BITI and you're right it is not a good long term hold. The OP expects a sharp drop. Short term it is a reasonable way short BTC. You will have to hold longer than a day and expect gaps because of the time frame they trade in. It's a simple way to trade BTC without having to open...

How do I trade Bitcoin ?

It's pretty close. The cost of trading is nothing if you have a zero commission broker. The downside is you can't trade 24/7; only when the market is open.

    Is the crypto winter over?

Theres my point. You think you need a town house. What about a rundown apartment or condo. Maybe a mobile home. Your Dad made 27 bucks and hour 25 years ago. How come you're only making 29. Hell 25 years ago I was making a minumum of 500 bucks a day and usually more. Ya gotta do what ever it...

    Is the crypto winter over?

You got caught up in consumerism. Someone managed to convince you that you need all the the modern convieniences. You're aware of how we walked to school barefoot in a snowstorm uphill both ways. That was the way it was so someone in marketing convinced us that our kids should have it easier...

    Is the crypto winter over?

Every generation feels the same. The free love hippy's of the 60's are now the wealthy boomers that the current generation detests.

I love the transparency of this market....

What make you think the BTC system isn't rigged? How do you explain an asset that can gain thousands of percent then lose 85% of its value? That sort of thing happens with pump and dump operations. Money flowing from dumb money to smart money. Do you really think things will change? The rich...

A software consultant who day trades stocks gained 805% in 2023

No I'm risking 1% of my account per trade. Risk = difference between the entry and the stop price. Position size = 1% of Account size / risk So if the entry is $10 and stop is $9 Risk = $1 per share If Account size is 100k then 1% is $1000 Position size is 1000 shares @ $10 or 10k

Which Trading Is More Enjoyable For You?

I went the other way. Was daytrading futures to swing trading stocks. I'm in it to make money, not for excitement. Boring is good, don't have to spend the day in front of a monitor, very little stress, and I can get out and enjoy life. Day trading is like having a job except there is no...

A software consultant who day trades stocks gained 805% in 2023

I'm not sure he scrapped the strategy which is to day trade penny stocks, I think he adjusted his risk control, stopped revenge trading and took only trades that fit the original strategy. I'm also a swing trader (stocks; long only) and 20 losses in a row would result in less than a 15%...

A software consultant who day trades stocks gained 805% in 2023

So what is the number of losses in a row you can take without being considered a gambler? What is the maximum number of losses in a row you have taken? And isn't a gambler with an edge a winner?

A software consultant who day trades stocks gained 805% in 2023

Here's the problem with that solution. What do you do if you stand down and the next trade would have been a masive winner? When do you get back in the game? You can't possibly know what the outcome of the next trade will be. FWIW my solution to a losing streak is to reduce my risk and scale...

A software consultant who day trades stocks gained 805% in 2023

Most guys fail at trading. If you risk 1% of your account per trade 17 losses in a row is a 17% drawdown. Buy and hold investors experience large drawdowns all the time. What drawdown can you handle and what do you do if you hit that number?
