So where's this second high? On what timeframe are you speaking of? On the 15min, the setups I play (RSI divergence in the overbought/oversold region) always has the second high/low higher/lower than the previous one. I think they're just triggering the stops before the change. Right now...

Yeah, still learning the "watch out!" days. And I did monitor the activity -or lack of it-, just at intervals. I did see a scenario where the ES would go hit 915 or so, but not flirting with 930...

Wow, am I the only getting raped? Unreal. Sold 912.50 pre-market with a bid @ 902.50. Things got jittery so just in case I placed a stop @ 911.50 when it was in the 908 region. Guess what, market pops and takes me out before crumbling. Then I let the day run without much action, but...

Dammit, had a buy order for my NQ contract @ 1385, or basically 4 points too low. Ended up bagholding all the way up because I was busy with my day job. That's a sad 600$ swing. Kinda expensive for greed. Added a short @ 1421.75 and looking to close that one @ 1415 to play it safe...

Geh, got burned trying to catch a rocket. Holding both ES and NQ short for now, will monitor my situation. In hindsight, I should have done like LC, knowing that we were around a holiday and all.

So far (at least on the NQ), they're pulling the same pattern they did to print new highs: on the 15-min, 2 green bars, consolidate inside the upper one, 2 green bars, consolidate, rinse, repeat. Edit: NQ 15-min since 10:30 this morning. We'd need a break below the 900 on the ES to get...

If anything, today looks like a step-up-day (SUD); consolidate, break up, consolidate, break up... Can we get a meltdown now? I'd settle for a 10pt drop, but I wouldn't say no to closing the gap below.
