    Almost always when a person "does everything right" and still loses money, it is because their reward/risk ratio isn't high enough, or they aren't exiting the trades very well.

    I am interested in your favorite patterns, and whether or not you use patterns for daytrading. My favorite patterns are triangles and head-and-shoulders. I use them on 5 minute and daily candletick charts.

    ETG has two programs, one for "trainee" and one for "experienced". The difference is that "experienced" is a typical prop deal where you put up money. The "trainee" does not put up money, is not liable for losses, must obey the boss when trading, and gets fired if they lose too much. Obviously...

    I agree that we have a "hidden hand" at work here, there is a need to suck some money back into stocks on the part of the large investment banks and the mutual funds. Possibly even specialists and market makers stuck with tons of inventory to unload.

    there are no restrictions on daytrading equity options either. I have a regular retail account and I do it occasionally with no restrictions on my account.

    I wonder if the leveraged etf's will themselves be marginable ? That would effectively double your buying power. That would be 8:1 leverage for retail accounts. wow. That's even better than single stock futures at 5:1
