Bonds readying to advance?

The financial media spin on the Fed moving from an "accomodative" to "neutral" stance has been beneficial for stocks and bonds but bonds don't have anything else in their favor and have failed to take full advantage of the favorable conditions that were created for their advance.

    Bonds readying to advance?

That's it for bonds. I was very bullish when this whole thing started in early November but I have been disappointed by a much weaker rally than expected and the fact that bonds were only able to make substantial gains recently when markets where closing shop for the holidays. I'm now bearish.

    Steve46

Steve46 is VERY generous. While the ideas I share are often in experimental stage or abstract enough to keep as much secrecy as possible about my techniques, Steve46 shares many valuable observations coming from solid experience. The quality of his posts convinces me that he is sincere when...

Any comments on today's price action?

Reno, I'm surprised that you, of all people, are asking this since you seemed to be among the few prepared for that: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=906780#post906780 I had the impression that you were also giving little validity to what happened in the past two...

Good chance Market near a short term high.

I agree. I wouldn't count on a reversal to happen during Thanksgiving week and also noticed that price movements are more easily misinterpreted during periods of low volume when many players are momentarily stepping aside.

Good chance Market near a short term high.

Oil is coming back up while temperatures are returning to normal but it will probably stabilize around $60/$61 because I think we're about to witness signs of economic weakness, which would contribute to capping the rally.

    Is trading like gambling ??

Excellent point. I addressed it in a thread I created under the title Natural markets and hybrid markets.

    Thanksgiving week

They'll be closed Thursday but I think volume will be low Friday and, in anticipation to all that, probably at the beginning of the week too.

    Thanksgiving week

I’m among the very few now waiting for an imminent reversal of the Dow and the question I have is before stocks go down, would the Thanksgiving week, in addition to last week’s options expiration, be a likely reason for a continuation of the recent consolidation and, at the same time, a...

    resumption of the bull market?

Tony, Since you deal with patterns a lot and you put a lot of honest work in your analysis, I would like to know if you see a wave pattern that would allow for the possibility of stock indices to trade in a narrow range until after the Thanksgiving holiday and then fall after that. I know...

    Is trading like gambling ??

Ok, NOW I understand why you don't want trading to be qualified as gambling, but unfortunately... Although I consider trading as gambling I have a lot of respect for markets, and I would go as far as saying that speculative markets are where you'll find the most justice in the world.

    Is trading like gambling ??

An apple is a fruit and a trade is a gamble -- a form of gambling that requires more calculation than say, playing the lottery. Et voilà, c'est tout.

    resumption of the bull market?

Going from oversold directly to overbought very seldom happens in my view because emotional mass is such that it will either make prices bounce for an extended period below or for an extend period above a trend that I derive from my calculations about the market's dominant target prices or...

    resumption of the bull market?

I still think that the trend is flat and that stocks went from oversold to corrected and that when temperatures return to normal, oil is very likely to return to $60. As far as the economy goes, lets not forget this side of the reality, the flexible economy: <img...
