No i understand that. What I am saying here is, if ALL THINGS REMAIN THE SAME, the stock price will fall by 1 dollar. So again, what is the purpose of a dividend? Without the dividend the stock price should the thoereticaly 1 dollar higher that day, wether its down 100 dollars (instead of 101)...

But it missed the part about the stock price declining in cojunction with dividend. So you guys are basicaly telling me that dividends are worthless? ASide from the liquidity issue.

BTW I pay alot of taxes, do you think it would help me to be in higher dividend yielding stocks rather than growth stocks? Not considering stock prices.

Ok I am a complete noob I guess. But for the life of me I cant figure out what the purpose of a dividend is if the stock price is adjusted by exactly the amount you are paid. EDIT: One thing I just thought up of. Dividends dont depend on liquidity... Thats a big plus.

What happens to the majority of american people ? Less jobs, less wages, less money, and now a weak dollar? It seems to me the powers that be have the regular joe dead last in priority. What the fed is doing is bordering on criminal imo.

commodities are a 2 edged sword. They could stay at low levels even with a weak dollar if the economy is bad enough.

Lets think of ways we can short the dollar, but lets also keep in mind that there are plenty of other crappy cuurencies out there which will counteract the weakness in the dollar. Gold... I guess thats one way. Realestate.. too many forces counteracting this buy.. but maybe the time is...
