    [Historical data] for R

Dear- I heard we can download historical daily close for certain stocks, directly to R language. For example, if in R command we type such as xxx(MSFT, 19900101, 20101231) then OCLC is shown in R screen. Is there any easy manual to start with, for a beginner?

Compare APIs of IB and TradeKing

To [Volpunter] Actually I am equity trader with more than 5 years experience. But unfortunately I have never trade or even never open any account in future/option/forex. For the equity, one charge brokerage for each 100 share and the other charges for number of execution.

Is there any sports bar in Wall Street, to talk about API programming?

Main reason to visit there is as follows. If someone helps me for API programming from out of state, it is NOT easy to communicate. So in Wall street it might be possible to see each other at a coffee shop to talk about what I need many times. I can think about roughly $1K for API...

Is there any sports bar in Wall Street, to talk about API programming?

    IB Exposure Fee

Possibly IB insured IB by itself, so small money is accumulated everyday for potential big loss. It is important that many traders are addicted, such as by their proprietory API and other reason(s). They know that it is VERY hard to change broker.

    IB Exposure Fee

So, in my understanding as a NYSE newbie, the exposure fee in IB is ONLY for future/option, NOT for all-cash buy equity. Isn't it? I heard, in some options, traders can lose MORE than his seed cash in investment. Probably the exposure fee is premium for insurance for future damage in IB...

    IB Exposure Fee

Although I have little knowledge on option and NYSE, it may implies "Since hurricane is coming, IB is recently asking more insurance premium for possible house damage" , which means that if you NOT want to pay insurance you are free to go to OTHER BROKER. But I guess many are addicted to IB...
