The 90-100% is not enough. Your risk/reward ratio is just as important. ie Are you taking too high of a risk for small gains into order to get your win rate at 90%? That's what a lot of HFT strategy do.

That's BS. It's doesn't take much processing power to run a chart and trading platform. I'm currently just trading off a $250 laptop that's used solely just for trading.

Since there is a lot of HP hate on here, I will have to clarify that HP does not build it's own laptops. Nor does Dell or Toshiba. Almost all laptops are made by a third party manufacturer who sells to the big brands. Asus is the only brand name that is made directly from within.

Core M is designed to be an energy efficient chip and it's not gonna be as good as an i5 or i7. I have a laptop that has the predecessor to the Core M and it is slow as fvck. My new laptop has the i7 and there is a world of difference in speed.

I disagree. Trading and poker are not the same thing except both are gambling and require the same gambling risk management techniques

I agree. Doing is better then reading books but don't disregard them. They are equally important. Books will help you learn. Experience will help you understand.

Not all of that is grandiose. There's really no need to try to make money every day if you're aiming for 10%. You can even make that 10% on one day if you're patient enough. Your reward risk ratio will need to be better then 2. Your success rate will need to be better then 50%.
