What are the questions you ask yourself in order to eliminate false positives?

Why are you trying to eliminate false positives? Managing your trades is more important then trying to get a 100% win rate.

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

Not entirely. I think he's stumbled onto something but doesn't quite understand what it is yet. Watching his vid it's quite obvious he's using a mean reversion type strategy. It's an initial idea but he's still a ways off from developing it into a full viable strategy. He's at the equivalent of...

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

That's pure 50/50 gambling and not real trading. I had watched some of your video and from what I see, I don't think you're anywhere near having a functional system. Usually I can kind of figure out how someone trades, but watching your vids I honestly had no idea what you were doing. You...

What is the wrong advice that you have received?

I learned to stop listening to advice from this forum a long time ago. Some advice are good and universal. But most advice need context. You're not going to get that from one liner. I'm sure some advice work for the giver because they are using a specific type of trading system that doesn't...

What's the best way to get the skills to crush the market?

Hi, Sorry I may be hijacking your thread for a moment. Today was a particularly stressful day for me. Below is my blotto documenting the phase I test of my finalized fully functional trading system...

How much trading profit is enough to live on?

My depression was getting worse and I couldn't function at my job anymore. Then the work environment started getting hostile. I ended up having to quit for my mental health. The work place did know about my trading activity.

How much trading profit is enough to live on?

I've been away for awhile. Back in November I lost about 75% of my capital during the election. Afterwards I decided to quit trading for good due to my mind feel like it was about to snap. It did and I started to develop depression. Then I lost my job in December and my depression got worse...

The day to day psychology of a trader

"* Now, I woke up to check what is going on few days later. As soon as I saw the profits, my "mental state" changed. I became like dead (?) and went like on autopilot : I opened the trading platform ( no prep, whatsover) and went on with confidence to wipe it out. wtfuao : described how this...

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

I took a look at FX. Still not sure how anyone can make money off that alone. The price actions are either chaotic or boring.

I would like to help you out. I read all your post but still unsure what's the core issues are. Are you winning? Semi-winning?

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

For the most part, yes most days has been winning days. Including sim, backtesting, and live trading results. Won't have any real significant data until I'm ready to go full time if that's what you are asking for. In the mean time feel free to see the attached Blotto from today. :)

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

I know. The question is was the big losing day due to the old day trading system or the new system?? Da Da Dum!

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

I'm really failing to understand why this matter. The short answer is I don't remember. One was a big losing day. The other was a small breakeven day. What matters to me now and the only thing I care about is, is I'm getting better trading my system and controlling my emotions. Past...

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

It's not $700 daily. One month on the new system. I'm still part time. When I'm at work I'm not trading. So far I've had about 8 days where I've taken off and traded full time. 6 were winning. 2 were losing. There's also been A LOT of good days that I've missed from being at work.

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

Not all my setup has the same probability of success. There are a few setups that gives me the max probability that makes it easier to scale up with. What makes trading easier now for me is to KNOW where my stops are. My stops are in area where I know if it gets hits the trade is a failure. My...

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

What has changed is that I'm finally given up on my day trading system. Which was the system that was consistently causing me to lose money but I kept trying to fix it. The other system I have is a swing trading system and was the one where I was making big profits in. Don't know why it took me...

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

Actually things are much better. Apparently I was freaking out because my system might not produce $700 profits everyday. I've come to accept that is a part of life.

    Errors of Life

I'm not saying trading is impossible. But there's a reason to why 95% of traders end up losing. If I had a 100 people and asked them to guess correction heads or tails what a coin flip would result in and keep asking them to do that repeatedly while asking the one that guess wrong to leave. I...

I'm losing money and can't stop. How do you be patient?

Oh I'm not obsessing over the market anymore. I think the meditation helps calms my mind down a bit. I implemented some mood management stuff that I do to help me relax. Right now I'm not stressed over the loss today when before I would be freaking out. Something changed. Not sure if it's good...
