    Intelligent Design is not creationism

HH: >real Christians exercise the minds God gave them. And, "real Christians" (like you I assume) aren't judgemental either. Right? JB

Evolution - A Weak Argument for the Anti-Supernatural?

Shoe: >...And, again, why? Why competitive advantage >does a human being get from being super-intelligent? >Not much really C'mon Shoe, surely you jest with the above question. Why should one need to list the competitive advantages of intelligence? It seems pretty obvious. If I...

    Intelligent Design is not creationism

    Ron Paul Is For Real

dd: >...his views are still not shared by the remaining 95% of the >country. 95% of the country are sold their views (meaning they're canned, without thought and meaningless). JB PS: I do recognize however, that the votes of those 95% are still counted.

    Waterboarding--Torture or Vital Tool?

I don't understand the debate over whether waterboarding is torture. Even the US defined it as torture during other wars. It's torture, plain and simple IMO. Now, the true debate is whether torture is always "wrong". I don't think it is -- but I admit it is a slippery slope upon which...

    dog the racist

Not in the context of this conversation. I've had a couple girlfriends that liked dirty talk now and then so they've been used in the 'sexy' context before. JB

    Ron Paul-moment of truth ET'ers

No, you keep missing the very intentional word "intentional". In my example, the technician actively (and intentionally) caused harm. There is no "inaction" in intentionally creating an embryo and then intentionally destroying it. JB

Hoff: >I think your example is a bit of a red herring. >The embryo in your example was never viable >in that state, Hmmm ... I'm really confused here -- I didn't think "viability" was on the table. I thought we were discussing whether protectable life began at conception. If it does...

Leaving on a jet plane (or, how smart are you again?)

I have to admit that Cache's answer is one of the most strangely convoluted I have seen. I've now read enough versions of this problem on the internet (just google "airplane treadmill") to safely surmise what the author wants to learn... "Can a plane take off from a treamill runway with...
