I expected to see all these "games", but so far I just see nyse posting real bids and offers. Sure they get new orders that print aside from those prices, but usually what you see is real and reliable (in<5m vol/day stocks).

Depends what you trade. I've had open book from IB for about a week now, and couldn't imagine trading without it. Most of the stocks I trade are <5m vol/day. Anything over that will be useless imo.

Aphe can you pull the Openbook data? I would like to get that data into a spreadsheet also.

I'm pretty sure this is not possible, but I want to be able to click a cell in excel with a symbol in it, and have that action load the symbol into the montage. Thoughts?

We were long because of the block, before the news broke. In any other situation the trade would have been worth at least a dollar. In fact I was up .5 before the free fall. Thanks for the honorary mention P2.

In the last few minutes before the halt I was telling P2 that I couldn't believe it wasn't halted yet. When I saw NYSE freeze at 33 I bailed on my last 400 shares to an ISLD bid at 32. Saved $1600 there.

Are there any other world markets that use the specialist system like Amex and Nyse?

I don't trade naz stocks anymore...but for the past couple months I have felt that the best trading opportunities are near the end of the day. I make about 50% of my profits in the last hour alone. Since temporarily giving up on OPG's I don't even wake up until 7am pst.
