Giving up is hard to do......

Sorry. I should have come back about the automation. Automation could work, but an automated system would bring stocks into the net that have not been visually picked by me for chart pattern correctness. For me its all visual. When I see the stock I know it like a friend.

Giving up is hard to do......

I am on this thread only because of bobcathy1. Hate to see her go out and not get this thing. I'm hoping she will see my posts and see if my trading approach, as much as I'll disclose, will send her in a new, more successful direction.

Because when the indices will come up short there are stocks that will be outperforming the indices. Take a look at the price gainers today. It grieved me how I did'nt see BLDP until it had gone up.

Giving up is hard to do......

Why trade futures? With futures you only have one chance. With stocks you have multiple chances when you open three, four, five positions. Some stocks will go up and others will flop over. Those that flop over you cut immediately. When the market is goung up establish multiple positions as...

Giving up is hard to do......

I was hand charting the market then, that got me real intimate with it. Most weeks there were at least two rallys during the period that you mentioned. Sometimes the market would rally three to five days then go into a big sell off. The total sell-off day was a feature of the market then. After...

Giving up is hard to do......

Shorting on an uptick is doubling the risk. Going long a stock that is ticking up and looks like it could be going higher is the better trade. See my earlier posts on page 8.

You missed my point. I trade only from the long side.

Giving up is hard to do......

Trading from only one side gives a greater focus that can not be achieved when trading from both sides.

Quit scalping and position trade. Paper trade only for one week. If a stock looks like it's going up and has a decent chart pattern buy with a market order - (in real trading that's an instant fill at the inside ask price). Write down your buy price. Do 1000 shares. Set your stop loss at .20c...

    Day Trading under $25k...

You can daytrade in a cash account. Just that when you close a position none of that money can be used again to trade that day, you have to use other cash in your account to trade again that day. Ask the brokers, they'll give you the details about when the money clears, etc.

Gonga? No. Ganga, yes and that's the police. But, weed, herbs and collie is where the smokers are at. "Deck the halls with clouds of collie, tra-la-la-la-laa, la-laa-laa-laa". Ever heard that one at xmas.

Maybe not. He was a superstar and made millions. Weed won't wipe out your brain - that's sniffing glue, crack, and booze. Knew a guy in N.Y. that used to grow his weed in a flower pot on his window sill. I had never seen that before.

But, if your company owned the condo where you live in the offshore country, and owned the car that you use, and paid your restaurant tabs, would uncle sam count that as taxable income.

you go to the foreign country, you register a company there in their free zone area (tax free status there, and no foreign tax apply). you might pay a small amount like a consumption duty, but they do it like that in some third world countries to attract businesses to locate there and save on...

Any Traders In S.W. Ontario Out There ?

If you have a multiple entry visitor's visa you can basically live in the U.S. (you have to go out every six months for a couple of weeks or something), but not allowed to take a job. Don't know if it changed since 9/11.
