TRADING Records for 20 oldtimers will clean this place up a lot!

Thank you for responding exactly the way you did. I don't know from what scripture you are quoting in your second paragraph, but I would like to know I used to post in the old P/L threads because of grandiose. Then, after getting my ass handed to me on a regular basis, I realized I was...

Measuring pulse or heart rate while trading ?

All I read was the title of the thread, and this is pretty much how I was going to respond. Unfortunately, it took me a long time to learn this. I finally figured out that I was in too much of a hurry to make a lot of money (which led to losing money), and I was comparing myself to others...

Would you trust an online backtesting tool to build strategies ?

How are you going to be different than Trade Ideas? I've been using them for 10+ years, and their back testing is amazing. It tends to overstate results, as does every back testing system, but it still lets you know if the strategy is viable. I have the ability to share results, but why would...

    book suggestion?

Although it's a corny title, I like Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom from many years ago. It was the first book I read that dealt with Expectancy.

Losses just aren't that bad. Even long strings of them.

Thank you. I think it's important. It's counter intuitive, which is why it's important. That's why most traders loose.

My covid, parent dying, and getting back into trading (eventually).

Dad passed away today at 12:30 PM Central time. It's a horrible time for myself and the family, but he's finally no longer in pain. Thank you everyone for all of the feedback and suggestions.

My covid, parent dying, and getting back into trading (eventually).

I've been thinking a lot about all of the comments about finding something I'm passionate about. Then, last night, I was going through old FB photos and found this. With everything that's been going on, I had completely forgotten I had started taking fling lessons in 2019. I don't remember...

Talking to the cows and feeding them by hand seems to help. Dad is sound asleep.

I understand. Sorry for being a dick. Yeah, I don't want to be that guy. I know a few as well. I just thought I'd get some insights from others who can work whenever they want and have been through similar situations.

Everyone who has posted kind thoughts and suggestions seems to disagree with you. But thanks anyway for taking the time to post something so constructive and helpful.

I'm here at the house all day, every day lately. He's with the hospice nurse right now. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. My daughter is my only child and I just can't imagine the pain.

The last thing I'm worried about is my position. It's 15 bucks. Even if something crazy happens and I get a 50R profit, I could care less. It's not a distraction or the least bit stressful. I absolutely love the dog walking Idea. The shelter where I got my lab, who was with me for 13 years...

Thank you for the kind words. And yeah, the rest of the year off seems like a bit much. I called my prop firm this morning and told them I'll definitely be taking August off, and I'll let them know about September. They've been great through all of this. It's not just numbers with them...

I actually bought an SPX 3850 Put in my Ira this morning which expires today. Yep, one contract. I paid 15 cents for it. I might have to kiss that 15 bucks goodbye. But I just wanted to be involved in some way, no matter how small. But it will be some time before I get back to my specialty...

Oh man, I'm sorry about your losses. I lost a friend on Monday due to a fall. We weren't very close, but we recently talked on the phone about getting together soon. I also have a close friend who's been battling cancer for years. He's been through many procedures, and in the last week or so...

Great perspectives all around. The most popular seems to run parallel with my instincts, which is to just wait until I'm ready, and I'll know when that is. Moving is not an option. I actually live in the house where I grew up. I'm 55 and my parents moved here when I was 1 month old. There...

Yeah, I'm either numb or crying while always being tired. It's like my body is telling me I'm extremely stressed, but the sadness is winning the emotional battle. And I definitely agree with you about alcohol. I actually quit some time ago. Years ago I would have dove right into a bottle...

I agree with everything you said. A friend stopped over yesterday and he swears by ivermectin. My dad also always has a couple P/Os lying around and I check my pulse and O2 levels on a regular basis. My O2 is always 98 or 99, but my pulse is all over the place. Sometimes 75, sometimes 110...

I agree with you. I actually tested positive about 3 weeks after getting the 1st booster. I will NOT be getting the next one. My sister is a nurse I know she agrees with you as well.
