Not so much a history of the market but Richrd Ney's Wall Street Gang & Wall Street Jungle books are great read on how Wall street Firm's, SEC and Politicians screwed the investing public in the 60's and 70's. Probably have to search on AMZN for used copies

I don't think they advertise their routing capability probably because they get paid for routing by the exchanges. I rarely use routing because I get good fills and I don't want to handcuff them from deciding the way to get the best fill. Yeah, they get paid by the exchange, but with limit...

Bought the majority on Monday and Tuesday and unloaded maybe half. Then played around yesterday with some pre-announced earnings issues. ATM Mays again ( with some decent results). Pickings in the Mays are diminishing fast.

How much of your 1 million will be tied up on Margin? I guess that depends on your investment strategy. Prime brokers in many cases offer "relief" for Hedge funds based on their risk and capital. No clearing BD is going to give any margin relief. Of course you could always become a BD and...
