I'm Looking for Traders to Invest With

Someone with positive expectancy who is profitable more times than not would never opt to split their profits. Likewise anyone who is contacting you is of the 85% or so of traders who lost, who also lost confidence to trade with their own money. And when and IF they do reach success and become...

If most daytraders lose money, then...

Interesting thread as I have thought about this. Here is what I can make out of it... A trader without an edge has almost 50/50 chance due to commissions, slippage etc. So why do traders blow up? When you risk a large percentage of the account it won't take many losses to wipe it out. When...

    first spread

Thanks Mark, I realized after I placed the trade that IB has the spreads already there to choose from. I was initiating orders seperately. But next time I'll do it the right way. Now I'm going to wait for another setup.

    first spread

You are right I went into account balance and this trade had a profit of $289.76. I guess I have to look into what exactly the P&L columns are indicating. Ok I don't feel too bad now.

    Good option trading software needed?

You should first make sure you understand how to use IB's Option trader screen because it is capable of all of the information you asked for and alot more.

    first spread

Hey guys I just closed out my position. I bought the short puts for $1.50 and sold long calls for $3.15. Overall I am pretty satisfied with my outlook. But I am a bit disappointed with the trade as I cannot figure this out. I use IB. My long calls for example were bought for $1.50 and I...

Yea I basically confused myself to the point that I couldn't figure out my max profit. Thanks guys for pointing that out. Long 89 PUT for 1.50 Short 86 PUT for .82 Net Debit= .68 Max Risk=.68 Max Reward=2.32 -Which is occurs if the SPY is at 86 or less at expiration. Ok I...

    first spread

I've been getting alot of great input here so I wanted to share my first trade using a spread. I may want to start a journal but I'll take a few trades first to get a feel. The past few months I have been fading (if thats what you call it) every rally in the spy. I would buy an OTM put...

blew my account can I ever recover?

Why not look at it this way: Determine if you spent 250K in commission. If you spent a substantial amount less then consider the following. Your strategy, your feelings, your money management issued signals to buy and sell at specific times. You have uncovered a pattern in the market that...

How I saved $10,000, sorry Gurus

Hey I'm not arguing with you, your post makes total sense. A few people on this thread were saying that they would seek mentorship from someone who may not be profitable... which in my opinion is a waste of time. I gave up on seeking mentorship. I have learned the hard way of spending money...

    20 reasons why Oil to NEVER hit $135.00 again...dated: May 22, 2008

If demand were at a bare minimum what would the price of oil be? I know this is kinda vague but what would be the lowest price oil can be before it doesn't cover the cost of producing it?

Real Estate... is this a buy?

realestate will be a buy when people with jobs can afford to buy houses without using any kind of impractical credit/lending vehicles. When business scale down and become efficient, income will be relative to home prices. People will only buy what they can afford.

How I saved $10,000, sorry Gurus

I'm not buying any of these apples to orange analogies supporting the fact that unprofitable traders can make good teachers. The fact that someone can not make money trading would probably mean that they sure as hell cant teach trading.

How I saved $10,000, sorry Gurus

For $100 I can give you something that will make you a gaurenteed one time profit of $50. But to make it hassle free just give me the $100 and I'll give you the $50.

How I saved $10,000, sorry Gurus

The market for the most part is a zero sum game. Any easily implemented elementary way of making money that is publicly availible will instantaneously render itself useless. So when such products or services are found it is not hard to exploit it. The fact that you know what not to waste your...

How I saved $10,000, sorry Gurus

Take a second to examine the logic. A person who is trying to sell a product that can make people fortunes is indirectly saying this: more money is to be made and time better spent in selling this product as opposed to not selling the product and implementing it instead.
