I think it's the opposite. Making money is the ultimate goal. He might have an account big enough to suffice making money without the need for big returns. Each trader's situation is different.

Vix will fluctuate between 15.2 and 10.5 in the next few months, till we tag ES 1960 or so. It should remain under 13 on a weekly closing basis though.
Well of course we are. We're only a day's worth of market movement from the highs. The purpose of ALL this jockeying the last 2 months is to suck in the shorts first, and then tear them to shreds - Institutional style.
