Ok...so here we go BUY 92.50 s/l 89.50. I realize that the 1302.50 was on "noise", but I am simply taking the "hard 10"...incidently, I got a nice fill on some noise earlier this morning...so it does go both ways:p

We need Jagmot to qualify his 24 hour break....is it from the time of his last trade or stop?. Why not rule off the book and start afresh from the new high/lows as from 4.30pm est. I am "choosing" the latter for the benefit of this exercise, so my potential trade ,at present, will be BUY...

    5% - 10% profit per day trading

Did you mean 10% average per week...not 100% per week. I feel your comments are right on the mark.

Now then, Am I right to assume there was a trade this morning BUY @ 80 ,as high was 90...stopped 77. Was I too early or what...would this have been the trade if it was an automated function from overnight?

    Is this "scalping?"

Using my broker's commission rate you would have had a small loss of $6.68 trading the ES.....537.50 vs 544.18 ...a lot of trading for zip!!.

Jagmot, The way I understand it was that after 9am you deduct 10 from the high 93-10=83 buy@83 s/l 80 with a goal of 93 or add 10 from the low , whatever it is and sell. Please correct me if I am wrong as i am trying to get the basic rules down "pat"'. Since you were "stopped" at 80 would...

While you are at it ,could you include profitable trade from 3 points as that is your set stop loss number. The point being that a 3 point is effectively a cover on a "stop" trade. This looks like an interesting exercise and I going to attempt to set up a risk management formula based upon...

    Commodities big picture

I understand your point of view, however the demand cycle has changed significantly, i.e China and India. Also consumption patterns have changed dramatically . Therefore, the "collapse" of commodity prices would seem to be unlikely, but a significant price reduction will be a benefit, albiet...

That's what struck me....it appears to have been a 50% retracement from the 81.25, wherein he took his profit and reversed the trade and caught it at 81.25. Nice trade anyway.

It seems that Tortoise took that lead from from Jagmont's opening statement where he used fractions...your point is valid , however we are trying to get a grip on this idea and would like an update from Jagmont. Volente, were the results at 6 points and 8 points profits as strong as 10 over...

    Rule of 10 Journal

Am I understanding this correctly....this is basically a counter-trend trade? i.e high 89 ...buy when 79...stop at 76...profit goal +10. If I am correct (not often) ....would it not have been of the high from yesterday?Say, 91.75. Not trying to be a spoil sport , but it seems like a...
