Montserrat, a Covid free paradise for digital nomads

Well, I agree, probably prefer Dubai for half the year. Shorter flight back and forth from Europe. Nice gyms. Nightlife? Nice temperature during the winter. Zero tax and I will be able to supplement my IB account with Schwab.

Montserrat, a Covid free paradise for digital nomads

I assume you can spend half the year somewhere else. The article does not mention anything about taxes. I assume no or low tax, which is the primary motivation. If not, of course I would not want to do it. But yes, it is way too far from family and friends, so as usual it will only be a dream.

"Interested applicants should note that an annual income of $70,000 or higher is required. Keith Gill Drove the GameStop Reddit Mania. He Talked to the Journal.

He is at around USD 40 million now according to WSJ. Have you seen somewhere what the value of his initial investment was? I believe I saw a screen shot of positions worth around 56,000 USD, but I am not sure.

Keith Gill Drove the GameStop Reddit Mania. He Talked to the Journal.

But how is that different from what e.g. Citron Research has done for a couple decades? I think he will be ok. After all he made a detailed investment case more than a year before and made a monthly update tracking his position. That is perfectly fine. However, others who have argued to buy the...

It takes a few days for your application to be approved by Interactive Brokers. On which parameters do you consider Lightspeed to be superior to Interactive Brokers justifying months of waiting for account approval?

So, with the power shift toward Reddit kiddos..

I think the people behind /r/wallstreetbets will get very unpopular when it is all over, so it will be a short-lived revolution.

    IBCE and currency holding

I have been moved to IBIE. I have lost this: "The Insured Bank Deposit Sweep Program allows eligible IB clients to obtain up to $2,500,000 ($5,000,000 for joint accounts) of FDIC insurance in addition to existing $250,000 SIPC coverage for total coverage of $2,750,000 ($5,250,000 for joint...

    Deposits from Revolut to IB

Strange I can withdraw in other currencies. Have not tried to deposit. Do you have a personal og corporate account at IB and Revolut?

    Deposits from Revolut to IB

I believe the names should match, yes. But I do not think Revolut operates as a bank - at least not yet. Revolut does hold a banking license, and I think their intention is to operate as a bank, but it is my understanding that they are not there yet.

    Deposits from Revolut to IB

I know that you can transfer funds from IB to Revolut. Does anyone know whether you can deposit funds from Revolut to IB? I asked IB but the answer was a bit vague.

    My Withdraw Is Rejected (IBKR)

I think there is a distinction between clients and brokers in the US og and clients and brokers outside the US. The likelihood of these transfers being allowed is much higher for US brokers serving US clients.

    My Withdraw Is Rejected (IBKR)

Nope. I think Schwab allows that, but my impression is that most do not. It is not IB's fault. The problem is stricter regulation and bigger fines. IB just settled a suit before this change. It is my impression that IB had done nothing wrong other than allocating pro rata less to KYI and AML...

Citadel Securities sues SEC over approval of new stock-order type

The lawsuit in itself is a testament that traders should use the D-limit order type. Does IB offer access to the D-limit order type?

Obsession with trading and the markets. Does it get better or only worse?

I consider a hit rate of 55% (same position size) over many years as consistent. A hit rate of 4/5 is extremely high.
