    Anyone else self-sabotage?

One thing that fueled the fiasco was all the things I "learned" from other traderz. Books were eventually burned when I recognized who my real enemy was....

Order from Chaos. Beyond the second law of thermodynamics

OK, thanks again for schooling me on the open system of the market, and how low quality traders are always entering the box, chasing price, and fueling the trendz that I like to hop on if I'm lucky enough to find them. In this context, wouldn't it be great if we had some data on how many new...

    Anyone else self-sabotage?

This same destructive possession has gotten me over and over again. Months of consistent profits then one huge loss takes it all away. Every time, it was my psychology that changed. I began to fear not having enough money. Then took a big bet outside my system. Then it didn't work. Then...

Order from Chaos. Beyond the second law of thermodynamics

...which states that for every natural process, disorder must remain the same or go up. In capital markets, where money flows from the many to the few, this would be like shaking a box full of bugs and ending up with a rabbit at the end. The second law states that disorder must always increase...

This Is How You Make Money Trading

Sounds like a wordy version of "variant perception", used by one of many Market Wizards from Jack Swager's excellent book. Basically when the herd believes something to be true, you position for when reality checks their math, and weighs them wanting..... I'm not smart enough to do this...

Poll:How many points up or down will the dow close on Monday

I woke up in the morning a few dayz ago with this song stuck in my head and went to cash. Trend is bending now.

Poll:How many points up or down will the dow close on Monday

I can easily see the tape explode to the upside tomorrow, destroying the bears that shorted the bend in the trend, for MAXIMUM PAIN!

Poll:How many points up or down will the dow close on Monday

Very good observation, thanks. I've been thinking this same thought lately but related to the economy in general, not just speculative markets. If money ever goes up in value this is exactly what happens - fewer and fewer transactions which has a doom-loop effect, exacerbating the appreciation...

    Elliott wave charts & predictions

It is a compounded inpulse wave 5. The clue is how you mentioned that wave C was too weak to do any damage. Support holds, then volume fades, then comes the hook, and off it goes....

POLL: Elliott Wave vs Support & Resistance (which is better?)

The warning sign before collapse is similar to how animals run to higher ground after detecting the low rumble of an off-shore earthquake: the Chop before the Drop Livermore called it the "warning sign" Basically everything is fine and a huge sell order hits the tape. Things float back up...

I made an indicator, when it does go up, the price go up 100% of the time

Wow, very insightful post. You must already know The Obvious, or are very close to figuring it out! At any rate, no one wants to lose, but some times it is more comfortable than having faith and sticking around for the happy ending!

POLL: Elliott Wave vs Support & Resistance (which is better?)

I could just be clairvoyant but the waves jump out at me, or I just don't trade it. Impulse waves taught me about HSR because it is the only way you can tell them apart from corrective waves. Next comes the concept of the pivot, which your diagram shows below as support below a mild corrective...

    Elliott wave charts & predictions

This discussion has gone off the railz. OP, why not start a journal, even with a sim account, and show us how it's done. I've used EW from time to time for buying dips, because a lot of them make a similar shape before they explode. Same can be said for cornered animals.
