Does trading run in your blood.

I don't know....He's a sophomore at Yale majoring in Classical Greek and Latin. I always tell him that he needs to learn how to say "Would you like to supersize that." as that's the only kind of job he will be able to get:) Jeff

Does trading run in your blood.

My great grandfather bought his first seat at the CBOT for 25 bucks. My grandfather traded, and my dad, 2 uncles, and three cousins and myself are all in the business. I guess it's in my blood. However, my kid doesn't give a rat's ass about anything market related, and prefers to spend money...

    tax stimulus checks

My income was too high, and I didn't qualify, so really don't care. The way I look at it is that $1200 is just a cent and a quarter on 20 contracts(100,000 bu) of wheat. Everything has it's price. Jeff'' Here's an example of what I spend my trading profits on: It's a Painting by...

    Blog service advice

Wordpress is the best blogging service out there. Wordpress blows Blogger away, and the software is really versatile. If you read the fine print of Blogger.....you don't really 100% own your material according to their TOS. I keep a wordpress blog and am really happy with it...and it's 100%...

    wallstreet is litterally a casino

Actually, Vegas gives you a better shake. Lose money in Vegas, and you'll at least get some comps. The mistress of the markets will take your money without so much as a "Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am," and give you no mercy.

    successful traders?

I've traded solely my own account for the past 30 years, but much of that time was spent in the pit. I had good years, I had bad years, but I'm still in the game, still banging out my spreads. Success is whatever one believes it to be. One can be net positive in earnings, yet be unsuccessful...

Rick Santelli--Assertion--All CL Have To Take Physical Delivery?

Ultimately, the cash and futures price will merge by the last second....if there's any price discrepancy, the arbs will take care of that. http://masteroftheuniverse.wordpress.com/

Rick Santelli--Assertion--All CL Have To Take Physical Delivery?

In Minneapolis wheat, delivery can take place in the form of warehouse receipts. I've made delivery and taken delivery many, many times over the years. Delivery is pretty easy in the ag markets, and presents very interesting trading opportunities. http://masteroftheuniverse.wordpress.com/

Cold fusion success: real or myth?

And what is the top surface chemistry journal in the world? You're partially right about fusion, which goes on randomly and spontaneously all the time at the atomic level. Since quantum physics is a study of probabilities, there's a 99% probability that 400 atoms are undergoing fusion in...

Cold fusion success: real or myth?

Having studied kinetics, and undergone very rigorous training in physical chemistry, I'm able to identify an exothermic reaction when I see one. When I was a measly PhD student, I thought cold fusion was possible, much like I thought I could deduce a Unified Field Theory. I also thought...

Best trade and most fun from trading

I've been recklessly expanding my art collection for the past 25 years or so with any extra money I make. One can look at the middle level Impressionist, and Old Masters market and find some good value. The art market has an interesting correlation with the number of margin calls on the...

Cold fusion success: real or myth?

Why do they always have to go to places like Afghanistan to do groundbreaking work, when there are plenty of places here in the good old USA? Whenever I read of strange news coming out of places like Russia, South America, and the Far East, I always miss the ole World Weekly News, starring...
