What if you won the lottery?

Isn't $99 million way more than you could ever spend on personal expenses?

What if you won the lottery?

Ok. So $99 million in cash? You wouldn't consider that a waste? You wouldn't even buy bonds or anything?

You won and took a lump sum of $200 million. What would you do with it? Would you use it in your trading account?

Is the Fed artificially keeping the inflation rate near 2%?

That is called margin. Even retail investors can use margin. It's just like taking out equity if you own real estate, or any other type of secured loan. But how do they know things will keep growing at 10-20%? It can lead to big trouble if you start defaulting on margin loans.

Is the Fed artificially keeping the inflation rate near 2%?

Read my paragraph about opportunity cost. It's not a debate.

Is the Fed artificially keeping the inflation rate near 2%?

And none of his posts were relevant to the original post. Also, if you can't use your profits to invest in something else, then it is not the same. Unless you're going to say he can use margin. What good is a bar of gold sitting next to you if you can't use it at the grocery store? And unless...

Is the Fed artificially keeping the inflation rate near 2%?

Well either way... I have better places to put cash to make it grow faster than the stock market would. And I would get the cash back and be able to do it again at least once per year. So only leveraged trading interests me because that's the only way I could beat those returns. But that...

Is the Fed artificially keeping the inflation rate near 2%?

Where is the money coming from?

I didn't claim to pick it. My point was that it's impossible. And many people's good results may just be luck anyway. Maybe they think they're good at roulette when their color gets picked.

Where is the money coming from?

Actually it was unintentional. But similarly... Could anyone predict that Boeing stock would crash? (Bad joke?)

Where is the money coming from?

Not if your business loses money lol. There's no sure thing and everything is easy in hindsight. Every year, there's a handful of stocks that make over 100%. Look at how much Domino's Pizza (DPZ) has risen in the past 11 years. Seems obvious now? But there is literally NO WAY to forecast...
