    IB charging exchange fees

    >Are you people for real? If you can't afford >$10 bucks a month because you didn't generate >$30 bucks a month in commission then move >your account. Do you think IB is a charity?? I'm with Cndtrader here. If this breaks the bank then move along little doggie. Accounts cost money to...

    IB charging exchange fees

    >IB is starting to charge exchange fees soon. Just for clarification -- these are not "exchange fees" as in fees for the Island exchange and other ECN exchanges, but rather fees for any additional market data (such as LVL2). JB

    IB improvements

Ok folks -- answered my own question: If you drag the columns around with the mouse they don't stay put. if you use the menu command -- File/Customize... and rearrange them with the provided interface they will remain. JB

    IB improvements

Anyone else having this problem with the very latest release? If you adjust the columns in the "Executions" window it won't save them...not only will in not save them, but with *every single execution* it moves them back to the default position. I keep my execution window very small for...

Any brokers using quote/recv order servers located in West Coast?

    >What is considered to be fast/good run >around time time for day trading? That really depends on the time frame you trade. If you are seriously scalping, latency is a real enemy because you are always trying to grab liquidity that was there XXms ago. If you are trading a 15m or...

Any brokers using quote/recv order servers located in West Coast?

    >When I first got my satellite setup I did a ping >to taltrade in breathless anticipation of astounding >results. Average 900ms Yep. Sats suck latency wise and there isn't anything that can be done 'bout it (without of course violating the laws of physics). JB

For Serious Traders from Don Bright

    >Wow - It was beat into me by Bright that it was >impossible to make money from home as a >"hermit" trader. Exactly...As a new home Naz trader I was practically ridiculed by this bunch. Now, as a sucessful home Naz trader I laugh at this bunch. They tell it like they want it to be. JB

For Serious Traders from Don Bright

    >We are listening to traders, and we are >responding. > >So "look out Etrade, here we come!" If Etrade is your target, you're even more deluded than I remember from your seminars. JB

Any brokers using quote/recv order servers located in West Coast?

I ping TalTrade (realtick) continiously during the trading day and average ping times of 60ms. I'm in San Diego and their servers are in Chicago I believe. I have been unable to find another data supplier with ping times this low and I've tried pretty much all of them. The easiest way to...

Need help with RT III order execution

    Stops and the Phantom

This is something that I'm learning as time goes on. It used to be that I either hit my stops or exited at a profit. Now, I find I rarely hit my stops as I recognize that my premise for the trade is gone and I exit. This has had a negative effect on my win/loss ratio, and a positive effect...

The logic of IB Nasdaq Stop Orders?

IB: slow order entry today...anybody else?

Had one Arca order fail to go green and then of course it sat purple for several minutes upon attempt to cancel. I hate these situations because you are never sure if you got the stock or not. The rest of my 50 or so orders were executed perfectly. I never use BEST_... always route...

The logic of IB Nasdaq Stop Orders?

Also, Two bid/offers are required to trigger the order. The new description needs to make it clear whether this is serial or parallel behavior. In other words, must both bids be displayed at the same time, or is the first "crank flash" the first bid and when the same crank later flashes...
