If I understand you correctly, you are going to liquidate your option position every day. If that is the case, in long run your strategy will be a loser (whether you go long or short the option) for various reasons such as slippage on the trades . You might as well be in the futures markets...

you are having this problem becasue IB is holding your order - they are running it thru some time of internal risk control - they will not admit this to you tho - if you want to do this type of trading - IB is def not the place to be

I would be careful if you are going to use IB, for if anything goes wrong (and things always do) with IB they are always your fault

automated trading is a great way to go - but never leave it unattended. you can be doing other things, but you have tohave the computer in your vicinity (unless you are just trading for the thrill)

heh I$land - I use tickdata.com myself - when I compared it to qcollector with esignal or quote.com data besides bars being missing, the time stamps of the data were off too - with regards to tradestation data - esignal and quote.com probably is just as good if not better and a lot cheaper...

mann is a real big firm, but a pats data feed ! - that is like playing baseball with my kiddies in the peewee league - I hope trademaven gets a better feed that Pats :p to use for our accounts at Mann

tickdata.com is the best source for clean data that I have ever come across - the qcollector software wroks great - but the data it collects from (esignal or quote.com) leave alot to be desired - all the quotes might be there but the time stamps are off
