I have heard complaints from some traders at one prop firm that they couldnt hit bids with long positions....because the firm was Net short, the sale of the long would create an illegal short sale so it had to be done on an up tick......NOW THAT SUCKS! I dont know what the solution for...

I short all the time so of course im interested in the topic....but BULLETS ARE OVER punk! Im just suggesting you EVOLVE. Of course the boys at the big firms illegally short all the time with no consequences....why don't you just join them?

Bullets were a way of making an illegal short legal! Enjoy loophole parties while you can and then just GET OVER IT!

IMHO...learn how to trade and get YOURSELF set up when you feel comfortable......I don't care who the prop firm is....you are always dealing at somebody elses mercy......trading is such an individualistic endeavor......amazing this whole "prop" thing got to be as big as it got!

everytime I talk to someone at Schonfeld it seems they are getting smaller. They were my suggestion to you, but I thought you had more experience....as far as I know that is what they want now, but who knows...give it a shot.. They are in NY and Boca raton fla..... this is a tough...

Interesting comment and I agree with the gist.....but ...12 months ago the SPX was at 932.87.....it is now at 1058.45, some 130 points higher......however it first moved 144 points lower to the march bottom! So for 3 months you couldnt be just a long trader! You're right...you have to see...

question....if you buy puts on a LISTED option exchange and simultaneously buy stock...and then sell the stock...that day or later....is that a bullet? I realize it doesnt have the efficiencies that bullet traders want because of the time premium and probable spread slippage on...
