There's quite a debate raging on the board about systematic vs. discretionary trading. Maybe we need to add a third category: following someone elses calls. Rock apparently makes money by using someone elses calls. Maybe this is a legitmate approach for some.

exce26 I did some backchecking and my average win this month has been .37, average loss .13. Largest winner was .85, largest loser was .27. Might give you some idea what to expect.:)

Thats called "creative accounting" spike. Thats how you make 658%. Only problem is you cant spend it.

There's a great article in Active Trader Oct. issue called "Know Thy Market." Using QQQ as an example they explore its historic price behaviour. As Magna points out the only way to trade them, imo, is to trade large size for small moves. This is assuming you dont want to hold overnite.

Hitman I think the reason you are doing so well is because, unconciously maybe, your instincts are keeping you in trades you are comfortable with. Don't knock it. Those are the kinds of instincts you need to survive.
