I found his methods to be crap. I got his trading the E-mini (for free thank god) method and it is basically a MA crossver with a conventional indicator to indicate overbought/oversold levels... It can work in trending markets (as most MA X-overs will) , but he doesnt explain any of this...

Brandon, great thread. I especially like your previous explanantion of price and volume.. So many people talk about it, but dont elaborate.. I might have missed it in an earlier post, but how long are you holding these trades for, for the most part? thanks, Matt

Good point. I think the main gist is that you can never get ahead of yourself. Stay humble b/c the market will humble you if you give it the chance. Also, dont inflict your will upon it, listen to what it is telling you, even if you are on a hot streak.. my .02

NO, I gave up the holy grail search awhile back, thank you. I realize that they dont exist. And those that DO exist, only exist in very specific market conditions... Listen, Again, I liked the book. But it seems like everyone jumps on the bandwagon, and salivates over it....

IT is an entertaining and good book, but very overated IMO. I have heard so many times that this is the "BEST BOOK." It simply isnt. It has some psychology lessons built in, and some "morals of the story" fluff, and is decent, but I am tired of hearing that it is the best book ever written...

www.trade-ideas.com looks okay, but I should have mentioned that I have a specific custom filter I created, and need to program it in... I have trouble finding one that gives you real time data, and is customizable that isn't $200+...

I have been doing something similar with 5 and 30 minute bars focusing strictly on the SPY's.. I also use the diaily for overall S&R, trend, etc. I am not using indicators anymore, and and trading reversals.. I try to see overall support and resisiatnce and patterns with the 30 minute and use...

so you are basically not trading the Break out/down of the coil, but trading "inside" the upport and resistance, playing off the pattern formation (as it is in the process of forming and narrowing?)

Baruch, excellent job so far and good luck with it.. As you mentioned, you might hit a wall once the market goes sideways or gets choppy. Have o developed a plan yet to stay out of these markets/trade them.? MOre importantly, IDENTIFY when a market is changing? just curious.

As an order flow trader, the trader's benchmark to beat is teh VWap when working an order. Even if the customer isnt holding you to it, it is always looked at in reference to your average price.. These orders in general are a pain in the ass for many reasons. a) Very time/labor...
