    TradingView - Anyone used this?

I should have mentioned, I'm in Australia so the options for reasonably priced data are limited here. I'm specifically trying to trade the ASX.

    TradingView - Anyone used this?

Thanks. That's what I needed to know. It's amazing you know.. I have gone to my broker here in Australia (CMC Markets) and they provide so called dynamic data. But on enquiry that dynamic data only applies to the DOM and not the charts. You have to keep refreshing the chart to see the...

    TradingView - Anyone used this?

I'm considering using TradingView for day trading soon and I'm wondering if anyone out there has used this. What I wanted to know was if I subscribe to live data feeds, does this give me Dynamically updating charts? Or... do I have to refresh the chart to see the changes every time? I tried...

    Scanning on Average True Range?

I'm having trouble scanning for Average True Range using the TradingView stock scanner. I think I'm interpreting it wrong. Should I be searching on a percentage converted to a decimal. For example, if I wanted to search on ATR of 50% should I be searching on 0.5 ? Nothing comes up when I...

Thanks, yes.. I can but I have to subscribe. I have a question for you actually. If I am going to scan for Average True Range... is that called 'Price Range/Avg' in the Mosaic Stock Scanner?

Books or Material on Stock selection for day trading?

I've just gone over the Interactive brokers scanner and I'm amazed as how detailed it is. The whole trader workstation is pretty hard to use though. I've got some learning to do on this. Still looking for a structured way to approach this.

Books or Material on Stock selection for day trading?

Thanks very much for this. This is exactly the kind of thing I'm always on the lookout for. I'll be printing this off and reading it for sure. Strangely enough I was also looking for material on how the market works recently.

Books or Material on Stock selection for day trading?

I appreciate a the answers. I'm in Australia and will trade Australian stocks. Scanners and the like are an option for sure, but I have allot of time on my hands right now and wanted to do some reading. There's a tonne of books out there, so I thought there might be something I could read...

Books or Material on Stock selection for day trading?

I'm looking at educating myself a little better on stock selection for day trading. My weakest skillset of all. I'm assuming there's allot of material out there and some might stand out ahead of the rest. Books on this topic are what I'm looking for mostly but I'm open to any suggestions. I...

Yahoo Finance - Volume Profile Time-Span?

Ok, good point. I suppose I'm thinking in terms of features. I really only want to trade stocks at this stage and yes I was also looking at the price. Spark is expensive at $200 AUD per month. I think that's expensive anyway. Tradingview seems to have a pleathora of features. I might...

Yahoo Finance - Volume Profile Time-Span?

From what I can see, the best value is TradingView by far. StockCharts is based on tradingview. If I wanted to go higher end I would just get Iguana Spark here in Australia. Has anyone used TradingView? Any comments on that? Thanks

Yahoo Finance - Volume Profile Time-Span?

Thanks mate! I'm in Australia though. I agree that Volume Profile should be valid for what you're viewing. That's why I thought it strange that volume prof on IB work station only covered 2 weeks. Its a shame. I'll take a look at Stock Charts. I had trouble bringing up Aussie sticks today...

Yahoo Finance - Volume Profile Time-Span?

Thanks.. That's strange. A premium provider like Interactive broker provides a 2 week span and that's it. Maybe that's the maximum one needs, I'm not sure.

Yahoo Finance - Volume Profile Time-Span?

Does anyone know how far back the Volume Profile (Volume at price) on Yahoo fiance charts extends back to? The reason I ask is that a premium provider Interactive Brokers provides a volume histogram (same thing as volume profile) but the most it's volume profile can reference volume from is a...

    Book on Market Structure?

Thanks very much for all the replies! There are some fantastic resources here. However, they are very advanced. What I was hoping to find was a decent TA book on trading higher lows, higher highs, retests if the previous structures, wick rejections, significant levels, support and...

    Book on Market Structure?

Lots of TA books out there, but I'm specifically looking for one in Market Structure, Buyer/Seller liquidity, behavioral trading. Most if this centers around market structure in trading? The Art and Science if technical analysis is on book. I thought maybe there is a better / well known book...
