    Shorts

Jeff, I agree with your take on Ag-commodities. It may be a little early yet because "new-crop" is still an unknown and "old-crop" is in short supply. I can't help but think any farmer is going to want to plant "wall to wall" with prices being what they are. What is interesting when prices...

    Inflation out of control

piezoe, I have nothing against these people. I have employed them over the years and they are great workers and I have had very little problem on a cultural basis. They are a big part of our economy as well as our standard of living. I was responding to the guy thinking doing a way with the...

    Inflation out of control

WHAT COSTS MORE PER YEAR THAN THE IRAQ WAR? I have included the U RL's for verification of the following facts: 1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77 2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs...

    Inflation out of control

Stop subsidizing illegal immigrants and it would make what we spend on wars seem like peanuts by comparison.

Is trading that hard? Or are people that stupid?

Trading is simple, but it is not easy. It is a natural dysfunctional inclination for humans to take something simple and make it difficult.

Bernanke Warns Economy Worsening - **Buy Commodities**

The demand for milk took a steep increase, primarily because of export demand for dry-milk (primarily China) as well as other milk products. Naturally, American dairymen increased production to meet demand. The limiting factor, is not so much enough cows, but not enough milk processing...

Who is the most worthless on CNBC? I vote Bob Pisani

I used to like Ira over at Bloomberg. He always looked like he didn't give a shit. He looked like a guy who drove one of the Chrysler K-cars and had a wife who bossed him around. His best buddy was the bartender at the corner bar and Ira acted like he was looking forward to break-time to get...

    10% heralded as good trader??

Another factor, but not all. Is huge fund managers are compensated based on the the size of the fund (a certain percentage). If they make an industry acceptable return and it could happen as early as one month, why would they want to take further risks and jeopardise their management gig...

Ben Bernanke Gives All Clear To Go Short

People know what they need to know as to what they do. As to as what it is which caused their need to do it? They haven't a clue.

    Just profit taking?

I think as to whether it is a bull-market or a bear-market depends on the time-frame you choose to work in. As an example; you can have a bearish looking chart short-term, but a bullish looking chart long-term. The key is to isolate the time-frame you choose to work and see what it is doing...

    Rick Santelli just went off

You just know everyone of these Senators shorted the overnight market and then grill these guys with questions which can only be answered sounding like negatives to the market. They hold these hearing whenever their cash reserves get low and they can make a quick killing....what a perfect set-up...

    Someone PLEASE shut-up Paulson

You'd love me before the Senate. I'd tell everyone to sell all they own and be in green cash. Because everything in America is over-priced (including their girl-friend) except the dollar.

    Crowd sentiment

I like crowd sentiment described this way; 80% are wrong 80% of the time and 20% are right 80% of the time. 80% will buy within 20% of the top and 80% will sell within 20% of the bottom. I guess it explains why only 20% buy their whiskey with cash.

    Urgent Message From Rennick

Well shortie, I had two choices; either listen to you or listen to William. So I flipped a coin and it come-up William. I now have a two-headed coin I will use tomorrow.

Six U.S. Banks Plan New Efforts to Stem Foreclosures

This is not all about helping the borrowers, it is about bailing out the lenders. The lenders in essence "bought" the homes of homeowners at prices way beyond their value and paid them tax free cash. The homeowners in essence "sold" their homes to lenders way over the homes value. It is the...

The next year and a half?

I can't see how anyone with a dime in the Stock market wouldn't pull it out and be in cash. I can't imagine so many people being a frog in a pot of warm water just sitting there until the water comes to a boil.

Housing doom and gloom - ENOUGH already !!

If you think the reason for the economy is because Bush sucks, you are very naive. Up-turns and down-turns have been around forever, no matter who is president In more recent history I can go back to Roosevelt as the beginning of the end and then someone can go back before Roosevelt. Interesting...

About the 95% statistics. Just a question

I have been in a number of businesses, if the dollar requirement to be in these businesses were the same as "trading". There would be a lot more inexperienced people attempt these businesses. It is my opinion, the success to loss ratio would be the same if not worse than "trading".

    Black Wednesday

Why do you find it strange there are people in here who "sell"? Wall Street never buys stock, they "sell" stock. Why would you feel there aren't some in here who side with Wall Street and Wall Street's business objectives?
