momentum can carry these trends a long way beyond logic and sanity. i would extremely nervous shorting today. my guess is momentum will carry through the rest of today but i agree and would wait for a pullback and maybe retest.

too add to what i previously stated...its also a good habit to track your trades manually, seperate from your broker in case there is ever a problem. i have a little book next to my pc i write trades down daily as they happen. occaisonally i check them against my statements to verify accuracy...

i use an excel spreadsheet to manually track my trades/profit/loss on a daily basis. i usually try and avoid daily PnL tracking and only usually fill it in at months end but its easy enough to write in via formula with a spreadsheet.

where you can type a basic meaning and it will suggest a possible list of words that match? many times i know what i'm trying to say but lack the particular word to describe my thought. i thought with the sophistication of search engines nowadays it might exist online somewhere? sometimes...

good question..i think 50 million traders would like to know the same answer. no one knows for sure. watch support and resistance breaks or breaks of previous day high and lows and make your best guess where the market might go next. if the market breaks one of these barriers look for the next...

if it hasn't already been said yet in this thread. try to avoid a laptop with a glossy screen. my toshiba has a gloss screen...it looks awesome indoors, bright and crisp, but outdoors i cant see a thing unless im sitting at certain angles. total pain in the arse.

thanks redink....i wasn't trading back then and didn't realize they closed the markets. didn't seem to drop very far considering. pretty tame market compared to the past 6 months.
