This is sound advice for any time, any market, anywhere. Of course,a lot of folks will fight the trend up, eventually give up fighting it then buy it all the way down and be pissed off saying "I'm doing the right thing by buying and losing money, WTF ?!?!"

Agree 100%. Friday in the ES for instance. Best up day of the week for longer time frame participants. But after opening up 10 points on the day, the market made a peaked in the first 60 minutes of the cash open and from there traded lower until lunchtime. Any short time frame traders...

Can anyone tell me off the top of their head, in terms of open interest/dollar value, what is the most "popular" options for investing in the S&P 500 ? Are they the CBOE options on the cash index ? Option on the ES/SP futures ? Or is it not really clear cut ? Thanks, -T

Man, its the perfect head and shoulders in the ES. This thing is bearish until it can close above 1481.25. We have the upthrust to 84.50 followed by an immediate bearish engulfing, followed by resistance appearing back at 81.25 following the upthrust.

I'm guessing no. Looking at this curve, I'd say its likely he's getting destroyed by the bid-ask spread by continually entering and exiting trades at the market frequently throughout the day. IE, we're flipping around between 6s and 7s, buy 7 for the breakout, puke 6s.....rise, lather...

Ugh. Intraday we're "obviously" in an uptrend in the ES. Its frustraing as hell to "know" what kind of market we're in and to be down $700 paper trading 2 and a few 4 lots. :mad:
