    Question for Grob/Hershey...

That's looking pretty good Ireland - nice work. My understanding of the 10k/VDU is that they are separate concepts. When actual volume exceeds VDU, then you are confident that the pro rata volume will be correct. The 10k PRV mark is the threshold for fast paced markets, which is where...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Take a look at Edgehunter's post: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54894&perpage=6&pagenumber=394 which should get you headed in the right direction.

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

LOL Easy - no your not. You just work at the Easy pace, which is different than the Mak pace, or the Anthony pace, or the Ireland pace. (Mind you, I'm not sure Anthony has a forward pace yet...) Better than having rightitis. Glad to hear things are moving forward for you! As to...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

No - running @ about ~30% CPU utilization, with ensign, excel, IB sludgemonster java, and camtasia. excel is taking about 15 mb of ram P4 2.3 GHZ, 1GB ram, 256mb gfx The only thing I noticed was when it stops updating - lower left hand corner hangs on "calculating cells 0%" but it seems...

What's bizarre is that I'm getting data streamed to my platform and it's trying to log me in at the same time. I'm on attempt #7 so far... and it's baaack

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Works nicely here Mak - I've noticed the same behavior Easy mentioned, but it's not serious. Nice touch with the wash cell. I need another monitor... Thanks, running camtasia on it now!

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

A screen shot of the tool BA_Trader came up with... It's interesting to note that he's using the % difference to determine str/squ/neutral. http://elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=487773

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

IB was having problems with one of their gateways this morning. It was fairly strange - I had the "market disconnected" colors on my connection boxes, but I was still getting data streaming in, and Ensign just quit putting up the data.

Ditto with issues here. I got several exception windows which popped up at various times, but I was being witless and didn't write them down. Disconnect notifications, but still getting data streaming in - odd. Anthony

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Mak, You are far too kind. Unfortunately for me, I'm the slow dog of the pack - so I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to pull that together. I haven't posted much recently because I'm still working on some of the str/squ things - just putting in screen time. Trying to...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

My apologies to the other posters in this thread, for what may seem to be an off topic post. Jack - Are you familiar with Watts Humphrey, and his writings on CMM - in particular PSP ("A Discipline for Software Engineering"?) I ask because I'm seeing a tenuous link between the topics and...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

How can you have the last price change, with no volume change? Watching the gif I've noticed twice now that the YM last price changed, and there was no change in volume. 11:35:09 11198 -> 11200 11:35:11 11200 -> 11199 What's going on here? Anthony

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

Ex - assume the front leaning center position! :p Mak, this is such a neat post partly because I agree so strongly with you on this, and partly because it brings up some specific things I am struggling with. Again, it gets back to atomic steps, by the numbers, sets of sequences, etc, etc...

    Question for Grob/Hershey...

I'm looking forward to these, assuming that there will be a way to get ahold of them. If I have to fly down to Tucson, so be it. When I went through basic and AIT training, drills were the SOP day in and out. The DI's would show us the end result, and then break it down by the numbers...
