Actually, I just figured it out! This stupid software gives you an option for a static or a dynamic when you set it up. I made the mistake of setting up the static, and then turning off the centering. I was playing tonight with replay and saw the dynamic (what I want, price moves up and down...

I'm using the Ninja demo, but when I select static it only moves a tiny bit before centering itself. There is hardly any difference between dynamic and static. How much were they charging you? I haven't even discussed prices yet. I'm just a Global futures refugee since they ended the free...

With dynamic the price is always in the center. Static, the price moves up and down the ladder. I find it easier to follow the price action when the price moves up and down the ladder.

I'm switching futures brokers, and I've got a demo of Ninja/Zenfire with Mirus futures. It's very fast, but it doesn't allow for a static DOM, just dynamic. Does anyone know of a broker that has this combo? I just seem to do better with a static DOM. Thanks.

Yeah, and if you call them they say it is your software, etc. I see you use Sierra; I use Quotetracker and have been behind all day.

Well, that's okay, I ain't paying the $700 a month Global wants. Advantage futures and even Velocity offer it for less. And Advantage I hear has great rates. Penson can shove it.

Yeah, I'm kinda pissed off, I stuck with GHCO and had many problems, then they finally added more servers last month. They are full of it to dump us now. Thanks Penson!:mad:

I just got the email too, I am a low volume trader also, so I do wonder if that had something to do with it. Personally, I'm leaning more towards NinjaTrader, as I know nothing about Strategy Runner lite. Any software recommendations anyone? :D

IMO, if you have an MBA, you need to be careful about "trying your luck as a trader" at least right now. I would focus on getting an internship with a real company. Christ, from what I read MBA's are starting out at 150K. Not many prop traders making that kind of coin. And after a few years...

I'm not having a problem with the ES.

You pretty much nailed it. The WSJ was quoting trading desks and hedge funds yesterday who basically stated that some big players got short this week; Thursday was basically a squeeze. I tend to believe that.

Yeah, is the OP suggesting he should get filled on a buy on the bid price? I've never been filled on the ES buying on the bid.

Go back and look again; everything is listed on the list, the "F" in Matching mode indicates FIFO.

I don't think that preferred status applies to the ES, and I don't understand the OP's problem, I get filled at the ask easily. But I'm only trading 1 or 2 lots.
