Once again, what does this have to do with the original posters issue? It's already been established that his current setup is adequate for his needs. What you believe or would do is totally irrelevant. st

IOW, all the engineers and techs who build and test video cards are wrong and you're right for no other reason than you can "see a difference." Thanks for clearing that up!!! And a special thanks for telling us numerous times how smart and experienced you are! I stand humbled before you. :D...

First, your twisting the facts to justify your position is indeed juvenile, as the original poster specifically stated that he is using the 8MB card on ONE monitor, not four as you now claim. Second, your continued persistence that it could be the video card demonstrates you are indeed...

You just confirmed my suspicions. The charts/pages that do not have studies are fast, the ones with certain EFS are not. I seriously doubt that there is anything wrong or lacking with your system setup. The issue lies in the way eSignal processes the data, and even the most robust systems...

It doean't take a sledge hammer to place a thumb tack in cardboard. 8MB video is plenty to run charts. I suggest you do some research on this matter. He's running 2D charts, not Doom3! :D st edited: Found this with a quick search. Hope it helps...

128MB is more than enough to run charts; overkill actually. For what he is describing, the most likely culprit is an EFS that is using the OHLC for computation or an EFS updating on every tick instead of the close. This is a well documented issue with eSignal. st

Certain EFS studies will dramatically slow eSignal down, especially when loading new pages. s

    TA software for multi monitors

The issue regarding this thread is not the number of windows that can be opened and accessed, but rather the ability of having separate charts residing on multiple monitors that allows each chart to be maximized to the monitor that the chart resides on. Clear as mud? st

Bracket Trader has a better setup for that, or so is my opinion. With BT you can filter out the noise of each and every tick and set it to only go off on a predetermined volume. st

TradeStation has their problems, and customer support is one of them. However, I am not the type that requires handholding, and someone in the forums usually is able/willing to help when the need arises. That, and their data is as bad as eSignal/QCharts if not worse. Thus the reason I scan IB...

I think he is referring to chart properties/beep with each tick. Personally, I found it annoying, that's why I remember it! :D st

When will I ever learn??? I should have just asked where the sticky boarder feature was located, rather than if. I should know by now that if QT doesn't have it, it probably hasn't been invented yet! :D Thanks for your valuable input!! Regards, st

Jerry, While you are lurking here, what's your view on implementing features that will allow hiding the title bars, window boarders, etc., and add sticky boarders as well? Saves a lot of real estate. For reference, sticky boarders allow you to place windows in a 'p'urt neer' fashion, and...

Wow!! I thought I was in the minority about this. Perhaps this is why Ensign doesn't have a forum!!! Keep the naysayers at bay, so to speak!!! st

    TA software for multi monitors

When I hit the backspace, its the same as hitting the max button. Window still maxes to entire desktop. Of course I could max it to one screen, and then minimize it to just the title bar, so that it will go back and forth, but that has already been mentioned, end not what I am looking for...

    TA software for multi monitors

I questioned him several times about this and finally gave up on him and looked elsewhere. I do believe his ego over rides his abilities sometimes. He did explain that he would have to re-write each and every dll and he simply wasn't going to do that anytime soon, if ever. If you lurk in his...
