A Non-Correlated Strategy Trading Journal That Shows Profit

I disagree. The second Johnny went into that maze I would have went back to the hotel and been chilling with his 19 year old Eastern European nanny, while he froze to death.

The cost of not being "woke".

Trading requires risk management inside of an environment you do not control. If you can't do that with one, I'd worry about your ability to do the other.

People need to expand the definition of trading. Picking the direction for one product is not the all encompassing definition of trading. Arguably, that's not even trading. That's speculating

Advantages in /NG or /CL trade? Why Ricky Gutierrez trades only these products?

NG can get entertaining late summer. Anyone worth less than a few million who buys a car like that is an idiot. Oh, wait he has almost 700,000 subscribers who thinks he can teach them to get that car. F'n genius!!!

    Options for individual stocks

Because an options trader ignores that expiration stuff and is focused on a daily granularity. An option 3 months out or 3years out is really just 5.3 of one or half a dozen of the other. Options, are all just Greek to me.

I need help with trading options

Why would you assume he's the principal of a trading firm? I don't see ONCE where he mentioned that. Not ONCE.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Well done. :fistbump:

    Finding your bread and butter

You have a faulty premise. No strategy has an 'inherent' advantage over any other. Same holds true for buying and selling. Anyone teaching you otherwise is selling you a false bill of goods. Some positions just allow you to sleep better. Sleep is good.

The Reddit geek who raked in $100,000 with 2 trades is 'taking a small break'

What's the saying... I'd rather be lucky than smart. In my book, he's smarter than 99% of the people, who just don't listen when you tell them, don't sell teenies!!! That's the real lesson here. The asshole on the other side that sold them to him thinking it was free money - or maybe he wasn't...

Noob question: Options premium decay over the weekend

I missed that one, but I think it is either 365, 360, or 252. Hopefully one day someone figures out this global rotation spinny thing, and we can get a concrete answer on this.

Noob question: Options premium decay over the weekend

Did that in '90-'91. Every Monday - poppin' vol back up. Very un-smooth. Me likey smooth. Built trading day model which treated weekends as 1 day. Much smoother. :D Peace!

    Amateur Hedging

Not really. Correlation modifies vol. Creates it's own vol. Spread vol. Example to the extreme. 2products both trading $100, each trading 100 vol. If 100% correlated has a 0 vol. Now good Lord, should that correlation break down, vol goes to da moon. Ok.. now I have serious stuff to do. League...

    Amateur Hedging

Hard to get into this, even harder on a cell phone, but what the OP suggests is fine. Run a 30 day correlation. Put a filter on any data where days close to close is less than 25% of average daily movement, then you have an idea of your static net estimated exposure. Essentially a 2 product...

Canadian Economy outperforming US on almost every relative metric.

That's why so many shows/films that "take place" in the U.S. are filmed in Vancouver and Toronto. -but for something completely different, you should check out Quebec City. It's like going back in time. Beautiful place.

Canadian Economy outperforming US on almost every relative metric.

Toronto is more like Chicago, than it is Montreal. Vancouver is more like Shanghai... than it is... ;)

Canadian Economy outperforming US on almost every relative metric.

I was going into Canada (I have tons of family there). Stopped at the border. Get asked for my ID. Said to the agent," I don't understand, they don't do this to me when I go to any of our other states." He kinda smiled, kinda got annoyed. I laughed. You left out 7 and 8. 7) Canada has a shit...

    S/R Line

Now I took your comment as an obvious joke, but it is funny criticizing philosophy while simultaneously arguing the merits of TA. -and this is coming from someone who believes TA has a certain validity and whose opinion of Philosophy was formed by the great Mel Brooks in the film History of the...

    Losing Money Is The Worst

I have no experience with Penny stocks, but could have guessed the end result. It's a trade where you are clearly taking the very dangerous side of a lognormal distribution to it's extreme. Like selling teenies with options, or worse.
