Ameritrade - Pulling my hair out

Freetrade is a division of Ameritrade, and uses Ameritrade's servers and technology. Therefore, if the guy wants to quit Ameritrade, he didn't really achieve much by moving to Freetrade....

How to end the search for the holy grail?

Yet the physical fact that there exist traders that CONSISTENTLY pull money out of the market using price, time and volume alone, indicate that it IS enough, when combined with money and risk management. However, that does not contradict that there can be other systems that work consistently...

    Free Quote Provider Data Wrong?

There are crude errors in the data on those websites. Prophet.net also has (or at least had in the past) hideous errors in their data. I posted about this in the past and attached some data: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=355861 I guess you need a more...

    For you, Technical Analisys lovers!

I liked his post about "sounds of the market" in the psychology forum. This guy should really tell us where he gets his weed from. It's probably the best stuff you'll ever get your hands on... :p

    For you, Technical Analisys lovers!

Excuse me? This statement is from April 2003, it does not bare abogdan's name, and it describes trades of MSFT. Care to elaborate? I'm sure you'll come up with a credible story. Can't wait to hear it. Anyway, any real traders in da house? 50

Comments on eSignal 7.x and above

Hi Jay; Thanks for your assistance! Regarding #1, (the price count tool), I for one would still strongly believe that it is most handy when combined in the Fib Retracement tool. In essence, the Fib Ret. tool calculates the range anyway, it just 'forgets' to print the number. The Fib Time...

Comments on eSignal 7.x and above

To Chuck and Jay - suggestions for eSignal 7.5! 1. A price measurement tool: Could there be an Advanced Chart tool that allows you to measure the vertical distance between two price points. For example, I could define a range between 1321 and 1347 and see the distance (26 points). This is...

    Cutting through the hype

Imho the whole idea here is useless. A charlatan, although a charlatan, can still sell you pure gold. Someone who's for real, can still sell you poison, because he's not much of a teacher. Eventually you will be using systems that make sense to you and that you have seen to work...

    Freetrade.com

I am a positional trader considering going from Ameritrade to Freetrade. Does anyone know whether you can place orders on ISLD or ARCA? They have direct access, they use Ameritrade's software. You can place order on island or arca. One would wonder why would you use arca to begin with...

    IB Lowers contract commissions!

Reducing tick size for the NQ and ES would be great. Although I never heard any talk of that happening.

    IB Lowers contract commissions!

callmeput, cool nick yo. tick size should be multiplied by volatility. When the NQ moves 1 point, the YM moves around 4 points, and the ES moves about 0.5 point. Therefore, the costs are equal. Many times one contract is more volatile than the other, e.g. nasdaq is weak so the NQ drops...
