    Missing Ensign Playback files

I've been saving Ensign playback files for the last few years. Any that I was missing I was always able to download from Dacharts.com. However I notice that the files are no longer posted at Dacharts. I'm missing the files for ES, YM and NQ for August. Does anyone have them or know where to get...

    Printing Charts

I loathe the high cost of printer cartridges. Usually I can refill them and save a lot of money. However my HP 940C printer started flashing an error code indicating that I had to change the print cartridge. No matter what, even after refilling the cartridge, resetting the printer etc. it still...

who is your favorite ET trader

I've always thought that someone should post a poll for everyone to vote for elite trader of the month. Perhaps one of the advertisers here could offer some sort of a token prize. I think the criteria for voting for someone should be how much they've helped other traders. That would encourage...

    spread on the Dow e-mini

I was just looking at the YM Futures today and it would appear that most of the time the spread is only 1 point. If I buy at the market and sell at the market my cost for the spread is only $10. If I do the same with the ES the cost is $25. The profit should be almost the same since they both...

    Directpc.ca

It looks like they're a Canadian company, I've never used them. The prices look good, the components look relatively cheap but personally I'd rather have two cheap computers than one expensive one. With two computers you always have a backup and its a lot easier to multitask. I'd be careful...

    Traders' Most Commonly Asked Questions

My most commonly asked questions about trading (as a beginner): 1. Which trading method is profitible and how can I learn it? (still haven't found this yet) 2. There are many sites and firms that are offering to sell you an education about trading. Which of all these could I join and...

    Pete's Place

Yes JD, I was doing just that this weekend. It wasn't that easy but it can be done. First I would download an xpo file from Qcharts using Tradestation's Global Server along with "hyperserver" from this site. http://www.hypertrader.it/htools.shtml Then there is another program called hypertools...

Comparing front-end for TWS with macro-recorder.

If you use a keystroke recorder to send a command, you still have to send a keystroke to tell the recorder to playback? Or would you have the charting program send out the command to the macro recorder? I've seen in your other posts that you use Ensign and IB. I was using the same combination...

Comparing front-end for TWS with macro-recorder.

In TWS itself you can program your keyboard to make all kinds of orders without using a front end. You can test it out by logging in the TWS demo with username: "edemo" password: "demouser" Or else you might try "buttontrader". I believe the guys that made it are from the Netherlands too.

JD, I have done some testing but I'd like to get serious and do a lot more. I've subscribed to Qcharts because it has a lot of intraday history. I'm working on getting the Qcharts data into Tradestation and then I'll be able to do a lot of testing of what will work when trading ES eminis. It...

Pete, Nice journal, it helps a lot of us to learn and it looks like it's helping you to learn at the same time. I especially liked your link to NQoos "Floor Trader System". I'm going to try to learn to trade some variation of that myself. I'll figure out a system and then practice trade it...
