    Trading vs marriage

You know what they say - when you work a lot and want to get a cat, better get two so they can play with each other when you are not at home. Don't know why this comes to my mind right now :)

How do I become this guy?

I don't know the guy but just in general it's remarkable and quite something to look up to when people take a couple of hits (illness, accidents, financial disasters etc.) in life and still manage to get up for the next round. I think you can learn a lot from other people's mistakes. My 2...

    becoming emotionless

Having no emotions is not the same as being disciplined and rational. Daniel Goleman's book on EQ is an interesting starting point to the topic. As far as I remember he describes people with no emotions (because of brain damage) and the consequences to their lives... quite scary.

    Learning programming/modeling

Ask yourself what kind of things you would like to achieve. Next look at solutions that are already on the market. If there is something valueable that no software out of the box can do for you than you have a reason to do it yourself. It takes quite some time to get proficient in...

    Add computer or monitor?

So if I understand this right, I could get two PCIe x1 cards (for example this one: http://www.matrox.com/mga/media_center/press_rel/2005/g550_lp_pcie.cfm) and plug them into one PC - first card into the 16x slot and the second into a remaining pci-e one? An important factor for me is always...

    Add computer or monitor?

In the old days with an agp slot on the motherboard you could have had an agp card and a pci card. How is it now with the new pci-e cards? Can you still add an old plain pci-card to an existing pci-e card? Or do you have to have a special motherboard with at least two pci-e graphic slots? I...

    Automated System Development for Non-Programmers.

Trying to get this thread back on topic.... I am surprised that so many people turn their attention to mechanical trading up to the point where they want to invest hundreds or more hours in learning programming languages.
