Ninja Trader with downloaded tick data

May be there is some misunderstanding: - NT6 is way outdated and not even available on our web site any more (NT6.5 is the production version at this time) - NT6.5 allows to import tick data to build volume based bars for your analysis (this is done NT internally off your imported tick data)...

What do you use to backup NinjaTrader?

To clarify: as we roll NT7 your NT6.5 installation will be left untouched -> you will be able to continue running NT6.5 although you may have installed NT7 in addition on the same machine. That being said: of course it makes sense to backup your installation on a regular basis.

AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders

Although your statement is correct, exporting the NinjaScript files (and creating a zip file) is the recommended way to transfer NinjaScript files, since the import runs consistency checks which prevents your installation from being screwed up.

NinjaTrader/IB HSI volume bar backfill doesn't work

For clarification: IB backfill data does not support true tick data (only snapshot data). That's why NinjaTrader does not support back filled tick data nor volume data (which is built of tick data) for all instruments (not only for the HSI). Hope this helps.
