Yes, I was using the 60 minute anchor chart for the ES this morning. I saw it break a 3 or 4 day trend, made a couple points, but was too naive to let it run. I have been trading stocks for about 1 year now, but I think I will focus 100% on futures from here on out.

Yes...It is so tempting to not listen to your own rules. But really, that should be easy. As Anek says, fill the bucket. So I went back to the quick scalp method this morning, and made a couple points off trendline bounces and breakdowns. For now, I will be content with a point or two...

I had a stop, but kept moving it...is what I meant to say. My previous trades were all quick scalps and I decided to try to let this one run with a larger stop overall. I was in the money and got greedy, then got stupid.

I used that magic tick and the NEW (for me) E-Motion lines, today on the ES. It broke below the 1423 and I cought a few quick ticks. Thanks JS for sending the E-Motion info. 4 round trips...+4 points. You guys are the best!

Damn, I had that 2180 mark as resistance the first time it hit it...then I went out for a doggy walk...and came back and saw the second hit and subsequent drop. So, I mised it. So far, 2 trades pre market...1 loser -50, 1 winner plus 70.

I shorted @2215 and covered at 2212.75...I wimped out on letting it run:confused: I made $72.5 for the day ($12.50 on the ES and $50 on the NQ) and I am out...beginners luck?

Believe me...I have had my ass handed to me many times when I got too cocky with trading stocks...I started out as a newbie and doubled my account in 6 months. I got over-confident and reckless and almost wiped out my account over the next 3 months. I didn't use stops and traded after hours...
