STAA closed? How to get info on stocks not trading?

Sometimes these stocks run up just prior to a big FDA meeting in anticipation of good news. Probably good to get out prior to the halt if you know about it.

STAA closed? How to get info on stocks not trading?

If you're holding stocks overnight, make sure you keep track of the news on your stock. They've had an FDA meeting scheduled today for quite a while. It looks like the news might not be that good.

The purpose of the post is advertisement. I'm sure that's the reason for the ban.

    real time news?

Can someone give an example of what Bloomberg puts out that provides trading opps? Is any of it stock specific, or is it all related to the market as a whole?

    Cubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How 'bout the Cubs and Red Sox in the Series? I'll just be happy if the Braves lose. (And Yankees)

    Anybody ever use TRAC ecn?

I believe you have to have an account with a broker that has a trading link to them. As far as I know, the only one is Track Data/Mytrack. There probably are others; I'm not sure.

    Enveloping orders

A couple general questions on enveloping 1) Would you just start out with one stock? Would that get boring waiting for a fill, or could someone new to this strategy start off with 2 or 3 at a time? 2) I realize that each stock is different, but as a general rule of thumb, how far...

    EchoTrade Reliability

Have the problems only been occurring during the open, or throughout the day? Is it just when there is a volume surge?

    John Ritter is Dead!

I didn't much care for Three's Company, but I don't think too many actors could do the physical comedy he did on that show. If you happen to catch it on Nick at Nite sometime, look how well choreographed his "clumsy" scenes are.

    Exchange Membership?

I'm filling out paperwork to request NYSE data for my backup broker, and they're asking if I'm a member of NASD, NYSE, etc.

    Exchange Membership?

If you have a Series 7 and trade with a pro firm (eg Echotrade), are you considered a member of an exchange? Or is the firm a member, and you're something else?

    EchoTrade Reliability

Could you elaborate a little? Are you having consistent problems with Predator Pro? Anyone else?

    Track Trade

I don't think it has backtesting. They have a 30-day trial; it's fully functional if you want to see how it works. I don't really use all the stuff you asked about, so I'm not sure.

    Track Trade

I guess it depends on what you look for in a chart. I don't really use indicators; I just kind of eyeball charts to see what's going on. I find them hard to read at times. Maybe I'm just not used to them yet, but I liked Tradestation charts a lot better.

    Track Trade

I hate to give a negative review after only a couple days, but so far their software is a joke. The charts are pretty weak, but the big problem I'm having is half the time I can't even change the symbol for a chart, level 2, etc. I'll type in a symbol repeatedly. Eventually it will show up as...

    Track Trade

I just opened an account with Tracktrade. Starting Tuesday. I'll post my experiences after a while. (Someone remind me in a couple weeks if I forget)

    Esignal equities basic

The Equities Basic platform has what they call 'standard charting' which is very limited. The Equities platform (which I think is about $40/mo more) has advanced charting, which is much more customizable. I'm pretty sure that if you went with the Basic platform, you'd be taking a step backward...

    is it true?

Post your findings, cuz I've always been curious about that myself. Are you checking on Nasdaq too, or just NYSE?
