    FFASTFILL Lower than IB??

So I have a question for all users of these products. Are the quotes, executions, and fills similar in speed for IB, Fastfill, TT, ect or are there major differences between these vendors in this area. Hopefully Aaron can chime in on this too.

i-Routing, market order, and NITE executio

I would send a soes order if you are trading real liquid stocks. Unless your broker has some wack ass routing situation it should hit any marketmaker that is the best price. Only time you will get screwed for the absolute best prices with a soes is if there are not enough shares to soes or if...

Trading Schools are a waste of $$$$

Yea David does not need to supplement his income because he made so much from the buyout of his firm :D

curious to see who this market maker is

It is not a market maker it is the alternate display facility which is what some of the ecns can join instead of joining supermontage. Right now I think INCA is the only one using it.

    esignal rules the house

So what do you like about it? I use realtick right now, but have had a couple of other people mention esignal as being a good product. I am wondering if it is worth looking into to make the switch over and if there are any glaring advantages over Realtick.

    BRUT does liquidity rebates??

Brut has been offering rebates for several months now. I don't have the exact rate in front of me but I know it is there. However it is not the amounts paid out by ATTN, ect. I don't know for sure but I am guessing every ECN offers some kind of rebate. Maybe it is not known or advertised by...

    ADFN and INCA

I have not traded much nasdaq lately but aren't they the same thing. I thought INCA joined the ADFN or Alternate display facility.

    Fnys?

Although I have no idea about this firm and it traders I do know there are still traders out there making money like this. Of course times have changed, less volatility, old trading strategies don't work, but there is still a lot of money out there. I know someone who had a million dollar day...

    Schonfeld Securities

Well if you are concerned about getting cheap rates I would say you are way off with this one. I heard the head trader is very good, but I the level of training their did not stop several of their traders from leaving recently, because the rates and trading costs were so crazy. Who pays $80...

    Andover in Los Angeles

I trade in the LA office and there are a few traders that had big months like 250K in a month during exceptional volatile months like July. However those were special case months and not the norm. However there are some that trade relatively low risk styles that still pull 40-60K every month...

    Prop Offers

I have heard Momentum and Heartland do offer some kind or salary/draw. I don't know how long they last though. They probably start cutting people if they are not showing promise after a few months.

    Don Miller style traders?

Does this Don guy have some association with the trader who runs Undergroundtrader.com? It sounds like very similar setups.

nasdaq vs nyse(important...too me at least)

All the traders that I know who are still doing well made the leap to NYSE from Nasdaq. There are more sectors to trade, higher priced stocks, and less noise to deal with. The ones that stayed with nasdaq are still struggling. Some of the ones that stayed with nasdaq have had million dollar...

nasdaq vs nyse(important...too me at least)

Does your trainer trade listed or nasdaq? How have the other traders in your office been doing since switching to nyse compared to those that have stayed with nasdaq?

    THC- crying in our beer

I was lucky not to be trading this thing, but heard the pain of some traders around me. I guess dropping 100-200K in a day can ruin your year. However it was a good reminder for me not to average down in a bad position because initial bad trades can get a lot worse.

    SEC fees lower....

Isn't there a group called the Electronic Traders Association or something like that or has that shut down already. I know there was a group a couple of years ago.

Spotting market short orders on NYSE

I have been trading NYSE stocks now for 2-3 months after trading nasdaq stocks for awhile. Today I just realized something new which probably seems rather obvious to the more experienced NYSE traders out there but a simple of explanation would help me a lot. I am surprised I have done as well...

    NYSE openbook traders

I have noticed that it works better (openbook) later in the day for trading between large offers and bids. Of course the validity of the size would depend on overall market conditions too. However I don't get much out of openbook in the morning, but maybe that is because like someone said...

    NYSE openbook traders

I look at a Level 2 display so the quote I was talking about was from NYSE. Thanks for your help. So if this is the case with it being a specialist order or an order on the floor do you see it more prone to being fake or flashed as size to make it look weak or strong then canceled. I came up...
