Nice call on that CFD. I have no clue, but I think the CFD will not matter. The CFD is based on the CME or equity markets, and both are closed as of now. I don't know how liquid your CFD is (they are banned in the US) so possibly it will matter if it is liquid! :cool: The ES might open...

Neke- do not forget to be focused when you trade. Mistakes like fat finger orders, software failures and other ordeals cost traders lots of money.

Are they keeping Windows 7? I thought Windows 8 was two OS style options- one of them similar to WIN7. :confused:

A desktop will save you money. There is no reasoning in having just a laptop. Your desktop processor will be way better (and cheaper) than your laptop. The i7 laptop processors are crap compared to the i7 desktop processors.

I was really looking forward to trading through November before the low volume in December hits (and I take all days off :cool: )..........oh well. Volume will likely be back Wednesday. It will be interesting if price action is wild or not. Honestly, who would believe the S&P would move...

I feel you. You can hedge your shorts via futures options. Even on holidays, the ES is open for a couple hours. Even if they opened, there would be little activity. It looks like the hurricane will strike tomorrow, not today. I guess they should have opened today for a short period...

This sounds stupid, but skipping meals and working out in cold weather will burn fat very fast. If you run awkward, this will also burn weight faster. If you have allot of motiviation issues, sex helps too. :cool:

Holiday trading is different from other days. Because they are rarer and everyone has less expirence with them, they are more difficult. Even day trading is hard with the low volatiility.

It is not just NYC, it is everywhere. Today is basically a holiday. It is the same logic of snow days in grade school when 0.4 inches of snow falls. The world revolves around Wall st, London. Volumes are always low on these kinds of days, especially in equities.
